• The app is open and running in the foreground

• To tag photos with location coordinates

• To generate route maps between your current location and saved office locations

• To display your current address and coordinates on the camera preview

• To fetch map thumbnails of your current location

Storage: Location data is:

• Stored locally on your device only

• Embedded in photo metadata if you choose that option

• Never uploaded to our servers

• Used temporarily to generate route maps via LocationIQ API

2. Camera and Photos

Collection:

• Real-time camera feed for preview

• Photos captured through the app

• Annotated images with location overlays

Purpose:

• To take photos with location information

• To create route maps with visual directions

• To save photos to your device's gallery

Storage:

• Photos are saved locally to your device's DCIM/GPSBank folder

• We do not upload or store your photos on any external servers

• You retain full ownership of all photos taken with the app

3. Device Information

Collection:

• Camera orientation and rotation data

• Device model and Android version

• Screen orientation and display metrics

Purpose:

• To properly orient photos and UI elements

• To ensure app compatibility with your device

4. Office Location Data

Collection:

• User-entered office locations (coordinates or addresses)

• Location type preferences (Office/Bank/Home)

Purpose:

• To save frequently used locations for route generation

• To personalize route map labels

Storage:

• Stored locally using encrypted SharedPreferences

• Not transmitted to any external servers except for route generation

How We Use Third-Party Services

LocationIQ API

We use LocationIQ services for:

• Geocoding addresses to coordinates

• Generating static map images

• Calculating driving routes and distances

• Fetching route polylines

Data Shared with LocationIQ:

• Location coordinates (latitude/longitude)

• Address queries for geocoding

• Route waypoints (start and destination)

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

All data is stored locally on your device:

• Secure Preferences: Location consent, office locations, and privacy acceptance are stored in EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256 encryption)

• Photos: Saved to device gallery using MediaStore API

• Map Thumbnails: Temporary cache only, not permanently stored

Data Security Measures

• Encrypted storage for sensitive preferences

• Location permissions limited to foreground only

• API keys stored securely in BuildConfig

• No persistent storage of location data beyond what you explicitly save

Your Rights and Choices

Location Consent

• You can withdraw location consent at any time by toggling app permissions in device settings

• You can choose whether to embed location in photo metadata

• Location is never collected when the app is in the background

Photo Management

• All photos are stored in your device's gallery

• You can delete any photo at any time

• Uninstalling the app removes all app-specific data

Data Deletion

To delete all app data:

1. Uninstall the application

2. Manually delete photos from DCIM/GPSBank folder (optional)

3. Clear app data from device settings

Permissions Explained

The app requires the following permissions:

Required Permissions

• Camera: To take photos and show camera preview

• Fine Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): For precise GPS coordinates

• Coarse Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): For approximate location when GPS is unavailable

Storage Permissions (Android 9 and below)

• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To save photos to device gallery

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
