ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಸಿಕ ಸಭೆ

ಇಂದು 16.09.2026 ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಸಿಕ ಸಭೆಯು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಕಾಂ.ರಂಗನಾಯಕುಲು ಅವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಕಾಂ. ಪಿ. ಗಂಗಾಧರ ರಾವ್‌ ರವರು, ವಲಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಕಾಂ. ಪಿ.ಎ. ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷಯ್ಯನವರು ಮತ್ತು ಸುಮಾರು ಅರವತ್ತು ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಭಾಷಣದನಂತರ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯವರು ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಏಳನೇ ದ್ವೈವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವನ್ನು ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ದೇಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವು ಸಾಂಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಂ.ಸವಿತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಪತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಶಿಧರ ಅಡಪ ರವರ ಸಹಕಾರವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಕಾಂ. ಎಸ್.‌ ಜವರಪ್ಪನವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ತಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಸಂಘಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿರುವ “ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲ ತಾಣದ (WEBSITE) ವಿನ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚುರಪಡಿಸಲು ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ವಲಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಕಾಂ. ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷಯ್ಯ ನವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಕೌಟುಂಬಿಕ ಪಿಂಚಣಿಗೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅರ್ಜೀ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಆದಾಯವನ್ನು ಸಿ.ಸಿ.ಎ. ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತೀ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ . ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಆದಾಯವು ರೂ. 1,80,000/- ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಸವಲತ್ತುಗಳು ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ F. D ಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಿ ಆದಾಯ ಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ರೂ. 1,80,000/- ಮೀರದಂತೆ ನಿಗಾವಹಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಹೆಚ್.‌ ವಿ. ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್‌ ರವರ ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆಯೊಡನೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.

DISTRICT- MONTHLY MEETING

On 16.09.2026, our district monthly meeting was held under the chairmanship of District President Com. Ranganayakulu. The meeting was attended by Central Committee Vice President Com. P. Gangadhara Rao, Zonal Secretary Com. P. A. Virupakshayya, and around sixty members.

Following the president's introductory speech, the secretary welcomed the members and expressed appreciation to all committee members who donated and cooperated for the grand success of the 7th Biennial Conference of Bengaluru District, as well as acknowledging the cooperation of Com. Savita and her husband Mr. Shashidhara Adapa.

Our District Vice President Com. S. Javarappa spoke and explained in detail about the layout of the newly designed website for our district association at the meeting, and requested members to popularize it.

Circle Secretary Com. Virupakshayya spoke and stated that when daughters apply for family pension, their annual income is being scrutinized very closely at the CCA office. If the annual income exceeds Rs. 1,80,000/-, pension benefits are not granted. Therefore, he advised transferring FDs held in their names to their children's names to ensure the income limit does not exceed Rs. 1,80,000/-.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by another Vice President, Com. H. V. Prakash.

The 17th Foundation Day Celebration and the 7th Bengaluru District Conference

The 17th Foundation Day Celebration and the 7th Bengaluru District Conference of AIBSNLPWA was held with great splendor on 23-08-2026 at the Open-Air Auditorium of the CGMT Office, Bengaluru. Comrade D. Gopalakrishnan, National President of our Association, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The distinguished guests of honor included Joint-CCA Shri R. Satish Kumar; Comrade P. Gangadhara Rao, National Vice-President; Comrade G. Babu, National Assistant General Secretary; Comrade A. Savitha, National Organising Secretary; Comrade R. Changappa, our Circle President; and Comrade P.A. Virupakshaiah, Circle Secretary.

As per tradition, the programme commenced with the hoisting of the Association flag, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Comrade A. Savitha, the National Organizing Secretary of the Association, served as the Master of Ceremonies and conducted the proceedings with remarkable ease and grace in her characteristic colloquial style. During the course of the programme, she also suggested that a “mini-booklet” (Kiru-Hottige) be brought out to commemorate the Foundation Day.

On the occasion of the 17th Foundation Day of AIBSNLPWA, Comrade R. Changappa delivered the introductory address. He elaborated on the vital role and necessity of associations and organizations, particularly in safeguarding the interests and welfare of pensioners.

He recalled that AIBSNLPWA came into existence on 20-08-2009, and acknowledged the significant contributions of Comrade P. Gangadhara Rao and Comrade C.G. Venkatesh and Comrade Late K.Gururajan then AGM in CGM's Office, in establishing the Association in Bengaluru. He particularly commended the tireless efforts of Comrade P. Gangadhara Rao, who travelled across the various districts of Karnataka to strengthen and expand the organization.

The steady growth of the Association was reflected in the impressive membership strength of 4,023 in Bengaluru alone.

Comrade Changappa also recalled the important role played by political intervention in securing some of the crucial demands of pensioners. Referring to the efforts made by himself and Comrade P. Gangadhara Rao, he spoke about their approach to the late Shri Anantha Kumar, then a Cabinet Minister in the Government headed by Shri Narendra Modi, through his relative, the late Shri P. Ramachandraiah. He stated that the enhanced 78.2% pension being received by pensioners today was, in part, the outcome of those efforts. He concluded by stating that Comrade D. Gopalakrishnan, National President of the Association, would elaborate

Participating in meetings and conferences makes a ready man.

Possessing all three of these qualities, Comrade D. Gopalakrishnan addressed the gathering in his distinctive and commanding and in his metallic voice. His address, extending for more than one hour, provided an elaborate account of the various initiatives undertaken by the Association for resolving the problems and protecting the interests of pensioners.

He also dealt in detail with the legal remedies being pursued for Pension Revision of BSNL Pensioners, including the Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Hon’ble Supreme Court. His comprehensive presentation provided the gathering with valuable insight into the issues confronting BSNL pensioners and the efforts being made by the Association to secure justice for them.

This was followed by addresses from other members of the Union hierarchy, who further enriched the proceedings with their valuable observations and guidance.

The BGTD Team deserves special appreciation for organizing the entire Conference in a colourful, systematic and meticulous manner. The arrangements and conduct of the programme were widely appreciated by the participants.

In all respects, the 17th Foundation Day Celebration and the 7th Bengaluru District Conference concluded on a highly successful and memorable note.

Relentless Dedication to Pensioners

Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Camps: Annual DLC camps are organized, especially in November, with operators deployed to major exchanges and home visits to ensure pensioners complete this vital annual requirement effortlessly.

Extended Reach: To minimize last-minute rushes, DLC facilitation was expanded to September and October, allowing members to complete the process well in advance.

Doorstep Assistance: Beyond scheduled camps, year-round assistance and home visits are provided upon request, proving invaluable to senior members unable to leave their homes.

Simplifying Complex Transitions

CGHS Migration: He has played a crucial role in migrating members from BSNL MRS to the CGHS scheme, navigating a cumbersome procedure that requires uploading numerous documents on a new platform.

Remarkable Impact: Despite these technical hurdles, unwavering support was provided throughout the process, successfully generating CGHS cards for approximately 300 members last year alone.

A Dependable Pillar of the Association

Event Management: Beyond his primary responsibilities, he consistently works alongside the District Secretary to organize and execute various Association events and programs.

Universal Appreciation: His positive attitude, prompt readiness to help, and approachable nature have earned him widespread admiration from all members.

Whether he is assisting a senior member right at their doorstep, untangling a complex CGHS procedure, or lending a hand during an Association event, Comrade Lakshman is always ready to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with his peers. For him, contribution goes far beyond just finishing a task—it is about showing up when a helping hand matters most.
