Some are affiliated with medical colleges on the same campus. Some are on different campuses but under the same management as the medical colleges, while some are pure dental colleges only. All these colleges are affiliated with RGUHS (Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences).

Earlier, if you qualified for NEET exam, you could directly go to the college and get BDS admission through management quota.

KEA Counselling Procedure 2024
Here, I will tell you the complete procedure of online counselling of KEA. All the steps involved in the counselling are mentioned below in detail.
1. Eligibility
The first and foremost thing is that the candidate should qualify the NEET-UG entrance exam.
2. Online Registration
If you are eligible for NEET exam, then you have to go to the official website of KEA at kea.kar.nic. and register by paying a fee of around Rs. 2500.
3. Document Verification
KEA will announce the date of document verification on its website. Document verification will be done both offline and online.
Online document verification will be conducted for non-Karnataka resident students who wish to get admission in private dental colleges in Karnataka.
- Upload the required documents and wait for the provisionally verified lists to be uploaded by KEA.
- You can check your name in that list and download the online verification form.
- Offline document verification will be conducted for NRI sponsored candidates and Karnataka resident candidates.
- The candidate should be physically present with all original documents at the KEA office.
4. Online Counselling Rounds
The candidate has to log in to their KEA account on the date of counselling and give them the choice of the college they want to join. The allotment result will be published within a few days. If you are unable to secure a seat in the first round, you can attend the second round of counselling.
5. MOP-UP Round
After the second round of counselling, the vacant seats will be allotted in the MOP-UP round
6. Stray Vacancy Round
KEA will conduct Stray Vacancy Rounds and Extended Stray Vacancy Rounds after the MopUp round for the vacant seats.
MCC Counselling Procedure Updates 2024
• Unlike last year, when there were limited seats for Indian expatriates, OCI candidates can now opt for UR category management positions.
• The Stray Vacancy Round, which was earlier held offline at the college level, will now be held online through MCC counselling.
• The fourth round, known as the Stray Vacancy Cleanup Round, will now accept registrations.
• The Cleanup Round from 2022 will now be known as the Third Counselling Round, and the Stray Vacancy Round will now be known as the Stray Vacancy Cleanup Round.
