KC Christensen Harris serves as the Director of Bands at Galena Park High School, where they oversee a comprehensive instrumental music program focused on student achievement, leadership development, and organizational excellence. With more than ten years of experience in music education, including six years leading the Galena Park High School Band of Gold, Christensen has worked to strengthen program enrollment, expand student opportunities, and foster a culture of high expectations and meaningful relationships.
Christensen holds a strong commitment to educational leadership and believes that successful programs are built through collaboration, service, and a student-centered approach. Their work emphasizes the development of systems and structures that support both artistic excellence and student growth, ensuring that every student has access to a positive and enriching educational experience.
In addition to their work at Galena Park High School, Christensen is pursuing a doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations, with research interests centered on leadership, organizational culture, and educational improvement. They are also the founder of the Sin Pausa Foundation and co-founder of The Resonance Collective, organizations dedicated to expanding access to leadership development, cultural engagement, and music education opportunities throughout the Houston community.
Most importantly, Christensen is married to the BEST band director in THE WHOLE WORLD, has four fur babies: Kitty, Cat, Rayder, and Juno; is an unapologetic Swiftie and women's sports enthusiast.

A native Houstonian, Love Bennett has been involved in music education for over 15 years. After aging out of drum corps and indoor percussion, Bennett would go on to study percussion and jazz at Concord University under world-renowned percussionist and composer Casey Cangelosi and Director of Bands David Ball. They would also continue their music studies here in Houston, focusing on music composition at Lone Star College - Montgomery under the tutelage of Martin Quiroga and the late Christina Padilla Mendoza.
Between their studies, Bennett has maintained a variety of teaching roles, including a small private lesson studio, nearly a decade of experience both teaching and coordinating between the Seattle Cascades and The Guardians Drum and Bugles Corps, and a wide breadth of school programs. They started and operate (whole note design), a company through which Bennett offers design, consultation, and educational opportunities for pageantry arts programs across the country.
Most recently, Bennett has served as the Ensemble Coordinator for the Vigilantes Indoor Percussion program, competing under the world class division of WGI’s indoor percussion circuit. A former NASA engineer and cancer researcher, Bennett does their best to maintain a well-rounded life. In their free time, they enjoy cafe-hopping, PC gaming, rock climbing, motorcycling, and spending time with their cat Bunker Buster.

Chad Berkstresser has been involved with the performing arts for over 30 years. As a performer, his passion for the marching arts started in high school as a member of the Heritage High School Color Guard and continued when he performed for Alliance of Miami and then won several World Championships as a member of the San Jose Raiders.
He has served as head designer and director of such groups of Carmel High School, Choctawhatchee High School, The Woodlands High School, Father Ryan High School, and Spring High School. He has worked with numerous DCI groups including the Blue Knights, Boston Crusaders, Phantom Regiments, and the Cavaliers. He has also worked with Cypress Indpendent WGI Color Guard and had the one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with Lady Gage on her halftime performance at Super Bowl 2017.
