This Privacy Policy describes how Tasmem Designer ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application, Band Locator (the "App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The core philosophy of Band Locator is that your cellular network data is yours. We have designed the App to process data locally on your device whenever possible.
We do not collect or store any personal identifying information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) on external servers.
The App accesses and processes the following types of data purely on your device to provide its core functionality:
A. Device and Network Information
Data Processed: Real-time cellular network strength (dBm), network type (4G/5G), operator name, frequency bands, and cell tower identification.
Purpose: This data is accessed directly from your device's hardware to display signal statistics visually on the screen.
Storage: This data is processed in real-time and is not transmitted to us or stored remotely.
B. Location Information
Data Processed: Your device's precise or approximate geographical location.
Purpose:
Android Requirement: The Android operating system requires Location permission to access detailed cellular network information (such as specific 5G bands). We cannot show you detailed band information without this permission.
Map Display: To display your current position on the in-app map.
Storage: Your location data is used instantly by the app and is not collected, tracked, or stored on our servers.
C. Locally Stored Data
Data Stored: Your list of "Favorite Countries."
Purpose: To prioritize your preferred countries in the selection list.
Storage: This data is stored locally on your device using an internal database (SQLite). It stays on your phone and is deleted if you uninstall the App.
D. Media and Storage (User-Initiated)
Data Processed: The App allows you to capture a screenshot of your network statistics to save to your device or share with others.
Purpose: To enable the "Save to Gallery" and "Share" features, the App may request temporary access to write images to your device's storage.
Storage: We do not access, read, or collect your personal photos or files. The screenshots are generated and saved entirely locally on your device or passed directly to your chosen sharing application.
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. However, the App relies on a third-party service to render the map:
OpenStreetMap: The map tiles displayed in the App are fetched directly from OpenStreetMap servers. When your device requests map tiles for your location, OpenStreetMap may receive standard internet log information, such as your IP address.

To function correctly, the App will request the following permissions on your device:
Location (Approximate and Precise): Required to access cellular signal details and show your location on the map.
Storage / Photos (Optional): Requested only if you choose to save a screenshot of your network dashboard to your gallery.
Internet: Required solely to load OpenStreetMap tiles and perform speed tests.
Because we do not collect or transmit your personal data to external servers, the risk of a data breach involving your personal information via our App is virtually nonexistent. Your locally stored favorites are protected by your device's standard security mechanisms.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
