This little rain garden isn't just about pretty plants (though they are a perk!). It's my personal mission to contribute to a greener, healthier St. Louis. Here's what this garden is all about:
Soaking up the Rain: By replacing traditional grass with native plants, this garden helps rainwater infiltrate the ground naturally, reducing runoff and strain on our city's water systems.
A Haven for Nature: Native plants thrive on rainwater and provide a welcoming habitat for pollinators like butterflies and bees.
Learning by Doing: This garden is a constant learning experience for me, and I want to share that journey with you. This website is my way to showcase the beauty and benefits of rainscaping, inspiring others to explore it for their yards.
Building a Ripple Effect: One rain garden might seem small, but together, they can make a big difference. Let's create a network of green pockets in St. Louis, one garden at a time.
This is an ongoing project, and I'm always looking for ways to improve it. Join me on this adventure – explore the site, learn about rain gardening, and see how you can bring some green magic to your corner of St. Louis!

Requested:
Rain Barrel $954
Leaf Eater $40
Spigot $20
Shipping $303.54
Soaker Hose $40
Notes for next time: The soaker hose system did not prove efficient for watering this garden, especially considering the dry weather, extreme early-season heat, and the long shape of the garden.
The rain barrel from NTO is elegant however they shipped the wrong parts and the customer service seems a little like they've been baked in the heat for a while.
