Banantika Datta

Welcome to my website! 

I am an Assistant Professor at Jagdish Sheth School of Management, Bangalore. I have completed my PhD from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in 2024. Prior to joining JAGSoM, I was an Assistant Professor at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). I also had a short stint in model validation at a major consulting firm.

My PhD thesis was on the role of bilateral agreements in international services trade and mobility. I was awarded the Mirae Asset Scholarship for my PhD research during 2022-23. A brief talk on my research is available here. My research interests include international trade in services, health workers' mobility, trade and labour agreements, remittances, and development economics in the areas of health and education.
