Parties involved:

Bananacademy and its creator are represented by the words "Bananacademy", "I", and "My"

Google and Google Analytics are represented by the terms "Google Analytics 4", "GA4", and "Google"

The users of Bananacademy are represented by the terms "User", "Themselves", "You", "Your", and "Everybody"

External platforms are mentioned by exact name, including "MakerWorld", "YouTube", and "Onshape" and are also mentioned together as "Platforms"

Any remaining parties are represented by the word "Anyone"

1. What data does Bananacademy collect?

Bananacademy uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track how people use this site. It uses cookies to collect data on:

• What pages you visit (so I can know which lessons are popular and which need to be refined)

• How long you stay on a page (so that I can know if a lesson is too confusing or difficult)

• What country you are browsing from (derived from IP address) 

• What browser you are using.

Through my feedback forms and quizzes, I collect data on:

• General feedback (for site maintenance)

• Detailed quiz reports (so I can understand which questions are frequently gotten wrong)

Through my comments sections, I collect data on:

• What questions you ask (so I can improve Bananacademy)

Lastly, though my newsletter, I collect emails. This is the only form of personal information I collect.

Most data I collect doesn't contain any personally identifiable information such as names or emails, and if it does, it is voluntarily provided by the user.

2. What does Bananacademy do with your data?

The data listed in the previous section above is used strictly for site maintenance and monitoring site traffic. I do not purposefully collect, trade, share, or sell names, emails, or other personal information to anyone. Your data doesn't contain any personally identifiable information and is kept private. 

Data on general feedback from my feedback forms is deleted after I have addressed it. However, quiz data may be kept indefinitely.

Comments will be permanent, and cannot be removed. I use comments to improve Bananacademy.

Emails collected through my newsletter sign-up form are used strictly for sending Bananacademy marketing emails. I do not share or sell user data.

3. How to opt out of data collection?

If you would like to opt out of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data collection, you can disable cookies in your browser settings. Certain ad-blockers and browsers can also block cookies, but not all ad-blockers. You can also download the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. 

If you would not like your data to be collected via my feedback forms, quizzes, comment sections, or newsletter, you can simply not use them.

If you would like to opt out of my newsletter, use the Newsletter Opt-Out form.

If you are an EU resident, under GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of your data. However, because the data I collect via GA4, quizzes, comment sections, and feedback forms does not typically contain personally identifiable information, I do not have have the technical means to do so. You can, however, delete your email information in my newsletter using the Newsletter Opt-Out form.

4. What will Bananacademy not be held responsible for?

Bananacademy contains links leading to external platforms such as MakerWorld, YouTube, and Onshape. Bananacademy will not be responsible for any data collection on these platforms.

Bananacademy will also not be held responsible for data breaches or cyber attacks, as all data collected on Bananacademy is stored externally. 

Bananacademy will not be responsible for vulgar language or any form of cyberbullying in my comment sections, as I already take necessary precautions by utilizing moderation filters. 

Additionally, Bananacademy will not be held responsible if a third party collects comment data. The user is responsible for what data they leak about themselves online.

Lastly, Bananacademy will not be held responsible for any user's misuse or abuse of our free resources. The user is to be held accountable for violating the law.
