To qualify for selection to the BBS, applicants must:
Be affiliated in some way with one of the three host institutions from the Greater Baltimore Area (NIDA/NIA, JHU or UMB)
Be a trainee-level early career neuroscience researcher - either a graduate student or a post-doc. Applications from staff scientists and non-tenured faculty may be considered in exceptional cases
Abstracts are evaluated by the organizing committee members and selected based on their scientific merit. Abstract evaluations are done in a double-blind manner to avoid selection biases. We encourage the submission of work encompassing any level of study (molecular, behavioral, computational, etc.) as well as both basic and applied research.
We now only allow for an applicant to be selected once per career stage. For example, if you are selected when you are a graduate student, you can only be selected again when you become a post-doc.Â
You can access abstract submissions here.
