This is a privacy policy regarding the app Migrate on Google Play Store.
Collection of personal information:
The app writes contacts, SMS and call logs only if user opts for restoring their backup. This app does not transfer any personal information outside the device or over the network.
Root permission:
Root permissions are required to backup data and restore them automatically.
Modification to system:
Migrate allows backup of DPI, font scale etc. Restore requires addon installation. This is completely optional, and the user may skip this.
Permissions:
This app uses these permissions, only if the respective features need them:
- Access contacts: To restore contacts
- Access SMS messages [optional addon]: To restore text messages
- Access call logs [optional addon]: To restore call logs
- Dump system data: To detect running contacts restore functionality.
- Write external storage: To store TWRP uninstallation zip.
- Write secure settings [optional addon]: To restore settings like DPI, ADB state and Font scale.
This privacy policy is subject to change when new functionality is added or older ones changed.
