On Saturday, April 18th the Balmy Beach Old Boys Hockey Club will celebrate its 50th Anniversary.

For half a century the Old Boys have been dedicated to camaraderie amongst eac hother and opponents; supporting our community through charity and the promotion of Masters hockey; and competition in hockey games around the world.

Our Anniversary Gala will celebrate the players, builders, and supporters that have contributed to the past 50 years.

On Friday, April 17th, the Old Boys will start the Anniversary festivities with 2 mixer scrimmages. 60 players from over the years are strapping up the pads and lacing up the skates.

The games will be at Scarborough Arena Gardens with Team Babich playing Team Tait at 3:15 P.M. and Team Lipsett playing Team Wilson at 4:30 P.M.

Fans are more than welcome, but please keep the heckling to a minimum as many of the players are self-conscious about their ever-dwindling skills.

There will be post-game drinks and food at the Balmy Beach Club.

Over the years there have been an infinite number of memorable moments created during games, tours, turkey drives, and volleyball tournaments.
