1. Introduction Sudeep Kumar ("we," "us," or "our") operates the BALM Manager mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. BALM Manager is an offline-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any external servers. All data entered into the app remains stored locally on your device.
2. Information Collection and Use We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from users. The app functions entirely offline, and no user data is sent to us or any third parties.
3. App Permissions To function correctly, BALM Manager requires the following permissions on your device:
Camera Access: This permission is required solely to scan QR codes and barcodes for equipment identification. No images or video feeds are recorded, saved, or transmitted from your device. The camera is active only while you are using the scanning feature.
Storage / File Access: This permission is required to store the local database (SQLite) containing your equipment inventory and maintenance logs. It is also used to generate and save PDF reports and CSV/Excel exports to your device's internal storage or cache directories so you can share them.
4. Data Storage All data generated or processed by BALM Manager (including asset details, maintenance logs, and settings) is stored locally on your device in a secure database.
No Cloud Sync: We do not sync your data to the cloud.
Data Responsibility: You are responsible for backing up your data using the app's "Export" feature. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, your local inventory records will be permanently deleted.
5. Service Providers The app does not use third-party services that collect data used to identify you.
6. Children’s Privacy Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
