About
Shantel Fierbaugh
I am an individual who has dedicated my life to the pursuit of knowledge and leadership excellence. Born in Anchorage Alaska, mother, and widow. I moved frequently in life, overcame numerous challenges, and achieved success in both my personal and professional life.Â
My passion for education and leadership began early in life. Despite facing obstacles due to my disability, I demonstrated remarkable determination and resilience, earning academic accolades throughout my school years. After completing my undergraduate degree in psychology and my Master's degree in public administration at West Virginia State University, I felt an insatiable hunger to further the world of leadership.
I have faced challenges posed by my disability. Rather than allowing it to hinder my ambitions, I embraced my unique perspectives as a source of strength and adaptability. My disability has shaped my empathetic approach to leadership, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for my colleagues, community, and cohort.
Driven by my thirst for continuous learning and a desire to make a broader impact, I decided to pursue a Doctorate in Executive Leadership (DEL). This academic endeavor represents the next step in my journey to effect positive change on a systemic level. With an emphasis on transformational leadership, organizational development, and social responsibility, I aim to revolutionize the business world and create a more inclusive and equitable workplace for the future.
Outside of my acedemic pursuits I dedicates my time to the charitable endeavor. Since starting the DEL program, I applied knowledge gained in leadership and disability, becoming an advocate for disability rights, accessibility, and awareness, I actively participate in initiatives that promote equal opportunity for people with disability. I strive to create a world where every individual can contribute their unique talents and perspective.
