PANDAWA BEACH

HOW TO GET TO PANDAWA BEACH BALI

Located at the most southern point of Bali, Pandawa Beach is around 1 hour and 20 minutes from Canggu but relatively easy to get to.

For those staying in Uluwatu, it’s just a short drive from Green Bowl Beach and the Abandoned Plane.

We always choose to rent scooters, which start at around 50,000 IDR per day, and explore ourselves. However be sure to read up on our Renting A Scooter In Bali guide beforehand! If you’re looking for somewhere to rent scooters from you can book a trusted scooter rental here.

Another option is to rent a driver, which is pretty popular for day trips around Bali, and they start at around 500,000 IDR per day (8 hours). Here’s an easy link to book a private car with a driver for the day.

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

PANDAWA BEACH BALI ENTRANCE FEE

15,000 per person.

You will pay this fee at a toll gate which is a few hundred metres before Pandawa Beach. They will then give you a ticket that you must show upon on entrance to the beach.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT PANDAWA BEACH BALI

Hidden behind huge limestone cliffs, Pandawa Beach Bali was once known as secret beach. It used to be super difficult to access because it was located within a deep valley and surrounded by all the white stone cliffs.

However, since road access opened for public in 2012, it is no longer Bali’s famous hidden beach. It’s actually a really popular spot for all locals and tourists.

It’s a great addition to all the beautiful white sand beaches in the south. The water is aqua blue and the sand is soft and powdery. It’s no wonder the word got out about this beach!

There was lots of seaweed washed up on 1km stretch of coastline when we visited. However, we did not spot any trash, which was definitely a bonus.

It’s definitely worthy of a day trip, especially for families. The seawater is calm and completely safe to swim.

On the way in to Pandawa Beach, there are a few small market shops selling touristy merch. Sun loungers are also available along the beach if you plan to spend the afternoon there!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT MELASTI BEACH BALI

We headed down to Melasti Beach many times during our Bali stint and it still remains one of our favourite Uluwatu beaches.

Apart from the untouched beaches of Nusa Penida, Melasti Beach was the cleanest we found.

As you head down to Meslati Beach the drive is incredible. The twists and turns through windy roads and the limestone cliffs are something we’ll always remember from our days out down south.

Before you head down to the beach itself make sure to pull over at one of the view points to capture a shot from above of the turquoise waters.
