Balin Connect is a QR-based communication platform that allows users to link a QR code with their Balin Connect account, configure emergency contacts, and enable other people who scan the QR code to initiate communication with the QR owner or designated emergency contacts.
The communication functionality may provide internet-based audio and video calling without requiring users to disclose their personal phone numbers to each other through the calling interface.
By downloading, accessing, registering for, or using Balin Connect, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Balin Connect.

A QR code is used to identify the associated Balin Connect service and enable the functionality configured by the QR owner.

If you provide another person's information as an emergency contact, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate permission or lawful basis to provide that information to us.
Emergency contact information is used to facilitate communication through the Balin Connect emergency-contact functionality.
Balin Connect may request access to your device microphone when you use audio calling or other functionality that requires microphone access.
The microphone is used to transmit audio during an active call.
Balin Connect does not require continuous microphone access when you are not using a feature that requires it.
Balin Connect may request access to your device camera when you use video calling or another feature requiring camera access.
The camera is used to transmit video during an active video call.
Balin Connect does not require continuous camera access when you are not using a feature that requires it.
When you participate in an audio or video call, technical information necessary to establish and maintain the call may be processed.
This may include:
Call session identifier
Call status
Call start and end time
Audio/video transmission required to provide the call
Balin Connect does not intend to record or permanently store the content of ordinary private audio or video calls unless a specific feature clearly informs you otherwise and applicable consent or authorization is obtained.
Technical call information may nevertheless be retained where necessary for security, troubleshooting, service operation, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes.

The primary purpose of Balin Connect is to provide QR-based communication.
When a person scans a Balin Connect QR code, the App may provide options such as:
The person scanning the QR code may initiate an internet-based call to the user associated with the QR code.
The person scanning the QR code may initiate an internet-based call to an emergency contact configured by the QR owner.
The communication is intended to occur through Balin Connect's calling infrastructure.
The personal mobile number of the QR owner or emergency contact is not intended to be displayed to the person initiating the call through the Balin Connect calling interface.
However, technical service providers involved in delivering the calling infrastructure may process technical connection information necessary to establish the call.
Balin Connect is designed to allow communication without requiring users to exchange their personal phone numbers through the calling functionality.
For example, when a QR scanner selects “Call Owner”, the communication may be routed through Balin Connect rather than directly exposing the owner's personal phone number.
Similarly, when “Call Emergency” is selected, the communication is facilitated through Balin Connect's communication system.
Your phone number may nevertheless be collected by Balin Connect where it is required for account registration, authentication, security, service operation, or other disclosed purposes.
We do not intentionally display a user's private phone number to another user through the QR calling interface.
Balin Connect may request certain Android permissions depending on the features available in your version of the App.
These may include:
Used to provide audio communication during an active audio or video call.
Used to provide video communication during an active video call.
Used to provide call notifications, account notifications, security alerts, or other service-related notifications where applicable.
We request permissions only when reasonably necessary for the corresponding feature.
You may manage permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling a required permission may prevent the related feature from functioning.
We do not sell your personal information as part of the normal operation of Balin Connect.

Balin Connect is a communication platform and is not an emergency response service.
The availability of an emergency contact or successful completion of an internet call cannot be guaranteed.
For urgent or life-threatening situations, users should contact the appropriate official emergency services.
Balin Connect is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
