This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application “BalCoNes” (hereinafter, the “App”).

The App uses real-time location data only when the user grants permission and only while the App is in use. We do not track or store location data in the background once the App is closed or minimized.

• Usage Data:

We may collect aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics to improve the App’s experience. These statistics cannot be used to identify users personally.

• Contact Information: 

The App does not request or collect email addresses or other personal information from users.

We may only access an email address if the user voluntarily contacts us via email. In such a case, the address is used solely to provide a reply and is not stored afterwards

We use the collected data exclusively to:

• Enable geolocated content inside the App.

• Analyze usage in an anonymous and aggregated form to improve the service.

• We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers or third parties.

• Location data → based on the user’s explicit consent.

• Anonymous statistical data → based on legitimate interest in improving the service.

The user may withdraw consent at any time by disabling location permissions on their device.

• Location data is not retained in a form that identifies the user.

• Emails are deleted once the inquiry has been handled, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise

• The App is built using Thunkable, which does not access location or identifiable user information.

• We do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

Users may exercise the following rights (where applicable):

• Access

• Rectification

• Erasure (right to be forgotten)

• Restriction of processing

• Objection

• Data portability

Because the App is available to users in the European Union, processing complies with the EU GDPR.

Some services may be hosted in the United States; when this occurs, data is subject to adequate safeguards as required by law.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, misuse or loss of processed data.

The data controller complies with the European GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) for users located within the European Union.

Additionally, it complies with the US CCPA/CPRA framework insofar as it applies to the controller’s postal domicile in the United States.

The legal address for notifications is:

Naperville, IL 60563 (United States).

For users located in the European Union, GDPR shall prevail.

For users located in the United States, CCPA/CPRA shall apply.

This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future to reflect legal or technical changes.

The current version has been effective since October 2025.
