Elgregoe the Magician
School holiday fun with Award Winning Magician Elgregoe!
During his show, Elgregoe weaves his skills as a magician, ventriloquist and entertainer to engage his audience. You will see amazing magic, exotic parrots and ventriloquism.
His shows have been endorsed by hundreds of schools, plus corporate clients, shopping centres and kids show events.
Elgregoe has been seen by over one million people and has made over 450 television appearances.
Elgregoe (Greg Britt) is based in Christchurch with his wife and assistant Sue.
Elgregoe is a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to education. Other recent awards include The Variety Artists Club of New Zealand Top Children's Entertainer Award and The Grand Master of Magic award.

Tickets $10 per head, no charge for under 5 year olds.
Includes afternoon tea, meet with Elgregoe and get a photo or buy a trick.
The profits from all performances go back to maintaining our local and historic Balcairn Hall.

This quaint country hall sits alongside the railway at Five Corners, Balcairn on the Rangiora/Amberley Road, 15 minutes from Amberley or from Rangiora.
Built in 1926 this hall has seen it all! After years of neglect it has risen like the phoenix over the last 10 years as a result of love and commitment by its local residents, concert supporters and fundraisers and stands ready to welcome all comers and be of service to the community.
Capacity
80 seated at tables, or 120 seated in rows, or 150 standing - 150 chairs, 10 tables,
Facilities
Heatpumps, entry ramp and accessible toilets.
Staging, lighting, speaker system and floral decoration is available by arrangement
The hall has a well equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, 2 ovens, microwave, vacuum cleaner, table cloths, cutlery, 150 cups, plates, First Aid kit, emergency light, fire blanket, 2 x hotwater systems, and much more...
It is the closest venue to the Balcairn Cemetery and ideal for funeral gatherings.
