Industrial Process & Commercialization:
Our research, in collaboration with the R&D team of Reliance Industries Limited, has primarily focused on the design and development of electron donors in Ziegler-Natta (Z-N) polymerization catalysis, leading to the development of process and product. We developed a novel, green, and innovative process by which the electron-donor molecule can be synthesized on a bulk scale in India. These unprecedented donor molecules showed an extraordinary self-limiting property and excellent hydrogen response property when employed in Z-N catalysis. Our contribution to chemical product development is of high impact, leading to developed molecules, with 'Safety' as an outlook. Four provisional patent applications have been filled as a co-lead inventor together with the Reliance Industries Limited team.
