After a sixteen year career in natural resources, ecology and volunteer program management, and a handful of years at home with my kids as a devoted parent, I pondered a career change. I thought about the things I've always loved - numbers, having things in order and working with people. I've always been organized and financially savvy (thanks to my family) and I enjoy my time as PTA treasurer so much that I look forward to tracking every transaction and doing month-end bank reconciliations and reviewing how our income and expenses compare to our projected budget! So, I started researching bookkeeping and how to start a business, I took over 200 hours of product training and classes to learn QuickBooks Online and Accounting Fundamentals. Along the way I got excited about doing something I enjoy and excel at while simultaneously helping small business owners focus on the passion of their work instead of spending time and energy figuring out how to do their own bookkeeping.
