I enjoy life-long learning and applying them in my life, as I firmly believe in the philosophy
“Education is not for living, but for life”
– Sri Sathya Sai Baba
This is evident in the course of my professional life thus far, making a conscious choice of newer interdisciplinary topics of my interest and thus embracing a new set of challenges to deal with. This experiment has not only given me the joy of learning from the unexplored, but along the way allowed me to comprehend the latent connections that co-exist between several scientific topics and discourses.
To develop next-generation people and professionals with appropriate knowledge, attitude, skills and build institutional frameworks required to build a peaceful and harmonious society.
To lay the foundation for educating next-generation people and young professionals by fostering the science required to responsibly design, operate and manage complex systems, buildings, cities towards a collective sustainable digital future.
My teaching plan aims to foster creative, sustainable, resilient, and responsible thinking.
creative thinking through ideation, conceptual co-design and development workshops;
sustainable thinking through enabling understand the connection to SDG via potential to decarbonize, conserve energy, resource optimization;
risk and resilient thinking by applying safety and security science to develop scenarios, anticipate failures/threats/vulnerabilities, model risks and frameworks to assess robustness and resilience; and
finally, responsible thinking by applying systems approach, which an objective to judiciously balance all the above.
My teaching pedagogy thrusts on an experiential learning process. This includes among others.
workshops
field trips
case studies
opportunities to work on real-world consulting assignments during coursework project
Thus, benefit co-development and co-creation of new knowledge, skills, aptitude, and attitude required in the globalized workplace.
