RC BAJA Senior Project

The purpose of this project is for two Central Washington University students, Torrie Large and Doug Erickson, to create a remote-controlled car. The car will be able to drag race against other Baja cars, slalom around obstacles, and drive through a Baja course while keeping speed and design integrity.

Function Statement

The suspension of a car is a system of springs, tires, and shocks that connects the tires of a car to the chassis and engine. The function of this project will be to alter the suspension system by optimizing the ratio of forces working against each other (the reaction of the tires against road features and weight of the car increasing the natural frequency). The chassis will be secondary to the suspension but will work in accordance with it.
