This Privacy Policy applies to the Photo to Flashcards mobile application (the “Application”), developed and maintained by Ewan Charalambides (“Service Provider”). The Application is offered as a freemium service:

• Free tier: Ad-supported, fully functional.

• Premium tier: Subscription at a monthly fee (via in-app purchase) that removes ads and unlocks any future premium features.
  
  

The Application is provided “AS IS.”

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

• Free (ad-supported) version:

  • Advertising ID: We (and our third-party ad networks) use your device’s advertising identifier (e.g. IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android) to serve and measure personalized ads.

  • Usage analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g. number of sessions, feature taps, crash reports) to improve performance and stability. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected.

• Premium (subscription) version:

  • Purchase receipt: A transaction receipt is exchanged between you, the App Store/Play Store, and the Service Provider strictly to verify and manage your subscription status. We do not store any additional personal data.
    
    

No registration or account creation is required to use either version.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

No. The Application does not collect GPS or any fine-grained location data.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

• Ad networks: May receive your device’s advertising identifier and anonymized usage metrics solely for ad delivery and performance measurement.

• Analytics providers: May receive aggregated crash reports and usage statistics.

Since we do not collect personal information like name, email, or contacts, no PII is shared with third parties.

What are my opt-out rights?

• Ads & analytics:

  • To opt out of personalized advertising, disable ad tracking or reset your advertising ID in your device’s privacy settings.

  • To opt out of analytics collection, you may uninstall the Application.
    
    

• Subscription:

  • You can manage or cancel your premium subscription at any time via your device’s App Store or Play Store account.

Uninstalling the Application stops all data collection.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under 13.

• We do not knowingly solicit or collect PII from children under the age of 13.

• Parents and guardians should monitor their children’s app usage and instruct them not to share personal information.

• If you believe a child has provided personal information in error, please contact us at ewancc1@outlook.com and we will take prompt action to remove such data.

Security

We are committed to safeguarding any data we do collect. However, because we collect only non-personal usage and advertising IDs, the risk of unauthorized access to PII is minimal. We employ industry-standard measures to protect our servers and services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new policy here. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

By using the Application (free or premium), you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
