Bahria Tenders ("the app", "we", "us") connects residents with local service providers (plumbers, electricians, and other trades). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your choices. If you have questions, contact us at rizvi.ammar89@gmail.com.
Who we are
Bahria Tenders is operated by Ammar Rizvi, based in Pakistan. The app is available on Android.
Information we collect
We only collect what the app needs to work:
• Account information (via Google Sign-In): when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password.
• Phone number: you provide your phone number during sign-in/profile setup so residents and providers can contact each other about a job.
• Location: if you use the app as a service provider and set yourself as Available/Working, we collect your device location and share it with residents so they can see nearby providers on a map and estimate distance. Location sharing stops when you set yourself Unavailable. Residents' precise location is used to place and match jobs.
• Photos and camera: if you attach a photo to a job or your provider profile, we collect the images you choose or capture.
• Payment status: if you subscribe as a provider, we record your subscription status and payment records. Card/payment details are handled by our payment processor (Safepay) — we never see or store your full card details.
• Device / push token: a push notification token so we can send you job alerts and messages.
How we use your information
• To create and manage your account and profile.
• To match residents with providers and show relevant providers on a map.
• To let residents and providers contact each other about a job (by phone).
• To send notifications about jobs, bids, and account activity.
• To operate provider subscriptions and keep the service running securely.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How your information is shared
• With other users, as needed for the service: your name, profile, trade(s), reviews, and — while you are Available as a provider — your location, are shown to residents. Your phone number is shared with the other party to a job so you can coordinate by phone.
• With service providers who run our infrastructure: Supabase (backend and database), Google (sign-in, maps, and push notifications), and Safepay (payment processing for provider subscriptions).
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove your personal data except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, payment records) by law.
Your choices and rights
• Location: you control location sharing by toggling Available/Unavailable, and via your device settings. Denying location will limit provider features.
• Permissions: camera and photos are only used when you choose to use those features, and can be revoked in your device settings.
• Access / deletion: you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and data by contacting rizvi.ammar89@gmail.com.
Children
Bahria Tenders is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
