Industry

Executive AI & Autonomy leader with deep experience in memory-based, reasoning-driven, and embodied-intelligence systems across autonomous driving, HD/ADAS mapping, and large scale data/AI platforms.

I’ve led large, distributed engineering and science teams across Europe, the US, and China, managing multi-million-euro budgets and delivering high-impact ADAS, autonomy, and connected-mobility products used at global scale.

My career focus has been on advancing from neuro-inspired continual learning systems to practical applications in autonomy: building modular ADAS/AD stacks (perception, prediction, planning), and driving the transition to end-to-end autonomy architectures.

Most recently, my work centers on memory based multimodal foundation models and physics-aware world models for embodied intelligence designed for safer, more efficient, and robust autonomy systems, supported by 50+ patents, 60+ publications (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, CVPR, IROS, ICRA), and €30M+ Horizon funding.

Academia

I am also an AI Adjunct professor in the department of mathematics and computer science at the Eindhoven University of Technology.

I direct the NeurAI Lab, which develops Neuro-Inspired AI models capable of learning efficiently from multiple tasks. The primary goal of the lab is to conduct fundamental research in deep learning, inspired by how the brain works and learns. Our research aims to develop next-generation AI systems that bring us closer to AGI. We focus on Continual Learning, Multi-Task Learning, Self-Supervised Learning, advanced Perception and Computer Vision, Knowledge Distillation, efficient transformers, TinyML, among other areas.
