The Black African Feminisms Institute advances scholarship, dialogue, and transformative action rooted in diverse African and diasporic feminist traditions.
The Black African Feminisms Institute (BAFI) creates space for transnational conversations that honour the intellectual richness and diversity of Black and African feminist thought. Through research, our biennial conference, and community engagement, we foster collaborative knowledge-building that moves from theory to transformative praxis.
We are committed to creating intellectually rigorous yet accessible spaces that center the experiences, scholarship, and leadership of Black women and marginalised communities across the African continent and diaspora.
