Alaya studies neuroscience and education as a senior at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She has used her experience as a tutor and as a student minoring in education to create a nonprofit organization devoted to providing accessible quality education for K-12 students. In her free time, she tends to her love of reading, plants, and nature walks!
Yashavani studies biology at Rutgers University, New Brusnwick. She'd set out to learn about educational disparity by peer tutoring in middle school, and continues to follow her passion for education as Backpack's co-founder. When she's not working to improve our tutoring process, she enjoys drawing or playing guitar!
Meera currently studies at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. As peer mentor and a behavioral assistant for middle school students with ASD, Meera grew a passion for education as a Rutgers undergraduate, one which continues to develop through her consistent efforts to improve our logistics and collaborate with other educational nonprofits. Meera enjoys listening to audiobooks and writing.

Lavanya currently studies biology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Lavanya loves to encourage students to learn and has done this in the past when she worked at a tutoring center and volunteered at a daycare center. As Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, she actively works to expand our volunteer base. Lavanya also loves to read, listen to music, and go on outdoor adventures!
