This program is designed to re-engage JCPS students from every school across the district in grades 1-12.
We are seeking individuals staff members to participate with non-instructional duties during the program.
Locations at local non-profit organizations, community centers and schools available
Dates for employment will range from June 16 - July 31. Programs will run at minimum from June 16 - July 11.
Tutor training with I Would Rather Be Reading (before program begins) - Paid
Up to 7 hours per day (up to 35 hours per week), $20/hour
Currently enrolled in a college/university, Spring 2025 graduate of a college/university, or Spring 2025 high school graduate with an enrolled status in a college/university for Fall 2025
Submit unofficial transcript or admission letter
Must be able to tutor, counsel, teach, supervise, and be a positive role model
Ability to complete and pass background check

Experience working with JCPS students
Experience with conflict resolution
Tutoring experience
Have effective oral and written communication skills
Possess good organizational skills
Must possess a high level of maturity; be self-disciplined and able to work as part of a team
