The National Criminal History Report Processing Center processes domestic and international request by individuals and governement agency's seeking to obtain criminal record backgound reports on file with the FBI. Request are made for reasons including but not limited to personal, immigration and state or federal applicant processing (ie DoD, DSS-SWFT) as required by law. Criminal history background reports are available within 24 hours (in most cases 3-6 hour's). Results may be retrieved in person or retreived online by the applicant or other authorized recipient as mandated or returned by USPS mail. Reports processed at the request of indiviuals for personal reasons may only be mailed to the applicant or their attorney. Persons intending to appear in person are strongly urged to utilize the online express registration prior to arriving as those persons are seen first upon arrival. Passport and/or applicant photo's are available if necessary.
Louisiana maintains a State Repository and a State Central Registry (SCR). The State Repository is a repository of all reports of child abuse and/or neglect.
