SEBASTIAN BACH - "Dude, I was almost arrested ..."

I only told this story to a few close friends, but now I can finally tell it.

It wasn't my story to tell publicly but Bas refenced it on X, so ...

HERE WE GO ...

I swore it happened at The Playpen on 35 in NJ, Bas says Mingles though.

But I was in the club and people started buzzing that Sébastien Bach was there. Skid Rows CD wasn't out but there was a buzz that he was the ultimate rock star in the scene now.

I look and see some hair and figured it had to be him.

He is 6'3" and wearing boots plus his hair is teased high. 7ft of rock star is coming towards me.

He goes DUDE, I HEARD ABOUT YOU MAAN, WHAT'S UP?

Before I can reply, bouncers asked him to come outside

I shrugged it off and 10-15 minutes later I see 7ft of frenzy running towards me.

He lands and excitedly shouts DUDE THEY WANTED TO ARREST ME FOR BEING A TRANSVESTITE HOOKER

Now the CD wasn't out yet and I had no idea of his personality, so I was very confused and just said "what?"

He yelled louder THE POLICE THOUGHT I WAS A TRANSVESTITE HOOKER

I was silent and anyone that knows me those years knows that was rare

I ask "why"

Bas shouts even louder ... A TRANSVESTITE HOOKER ROBBED SOME DUDE AND THEY THOUGHT IT WAS ME

Now the music at this point wasn't as loud as it was, but he was even louder so people were hearing it

Again, I don't know him, so just said "sorry"

His reply ... DON'T BE SORRY, THEY THINK I AM HOT ENOUGH TO BE A TRANSVESTITE HOOKER

At that point I knew a fun evening was beginning

A few years later I was in a club in Manhattan with a guitar player I helped (Paul from Playmate) and we are in the VIP area and Paul goes "Bas is here" and Bas locks eyes with me and comes over.

Now Skid Row is huge at this time, and I haven't seen him in 2 years (we exchanged numbers, but he was a dude, and I didn't call dudes in 88/89 lol).

He says I KNOW YOU

I replied, "Chuck Kaye from L'Amour" and he tells Paul "THIS GUY WAS WITH ME WHEN I WAS ARRESTED FOR BEING A TRANSVESTITE HOOKER"

Paul is stunned because it sounded like I was his "john"

I explained what happened to Paul and we laughed.

Bas was shocked I never told the story, and I said it was his to tell.

A few minutes later we partied like people partied in that era and exchanged numbers and again ... he was a dude, so I never called him.

I kept this story private outside of a handful of people because it's his story to tell

Now if I can only figure a way to tell the Jack Nicholson story that involves limos, ferry's, narcotics, females and a certain singer (not Bas) ...
