Notice of Update | This Privacy Policy has been updated as of March 16, 2026 to reflect significant improvements to Baby Tracker, including mom health tracking, calendar view, data export, sleep timer background service, push notifications, and advertising features. Welcome to Baby Tracker ("the App"). Baby Tracker is a personal health and wellness tracking app designed to help parents log and monitor their baby's daily activities and the mother's postpartum health and wellness.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information within the App. By using Baby Tracker, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Baby Tracker is NOT a medical service provider. The App is intended for general wellness and personal record-keeping purposes only. Nothing in this App constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any health concerns about yourself or your baby, please seek guidance from a licensed medical professional.
Baby Tracker allows you to log the following types of information:
Sleep sessions (start time, end time, duration, notes)
Feedings (type: breast, bottle, or solids; amount; duration; notes)
Diaper changes (type: wet, dirty, or mixed; time; notes)
Weight entries
Mood entries
Bath logs
Pump sessions (amount, duration, side)
Vitamins and supplements (name and dose)
Water intake
Sleep duration
Postpartum recovery notes
Mood and mental wellness check-ins
Hair loss level
Weight entries
All of this information is stored exclusively on your device using a local database. It is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties, except as described in Section 7 (Data Export).
All data you enter into Baby Tracker is stored locally on your device using Android's Room database and DataStore. We do not operate any servers, cloud services, or databases that receive or store your personal or health data.
Because data is stored only on your device:
Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all your data.
Data is not backed up to any cloud service by Baby Tracker.
Data is not accessible to us or any third party under normal circumstances.
Baby Tracker includes a sleep timer feature that continues running in the background when the app is minimized or the screen is turned off. This is powered by an Android Foreground Service, which is required by the operating system to keep the timer active.
When the sleep timer is running:
A persistent notification is displayed in your device's notification bar showing the elapsed sleep time. This notification cannot be hidden while the timer is active, as required by Android.
The notification is also visible on your lock screen so you can check the timer without unlocking your phone.
Tapping the notification opens Baby Tracker.
If you force-close the app while the timer is running, the timer will stop. The sleep session start time is saved in the database, and you can manually log the end time when you reopen the app.
The background service does not collect any sensor data, location data, or any information beyond what is needed to track the timer duration. No data is transmitted off the device during this process.
Baby Tracker requests permission to send notifications on Android 13 and higher. This permission is used solely to display the sleep timer notification described in Section 5. We do not send marketing notifications, push alerts, or any other unsolicited messages.
You may deny the notification permission. If denied, the sleep timer will still function, but no notification will be shown while it runs in the background.
Baby Tracker includes a data export feature that allows you to export your logged data in plain text, CSV, or JSON format. This export is initiated entirely by you and is shared via Android's share sheet to a destination of your choosing (for example, email, cloud storage, or messaging apps).
We do not receive, transmit, or have access to any data you export. You are solely responsible for where you choose to send your exported data and how it is handled by the receiving service.
Baby Tracker displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to serve personalized ads. This involves the collection and sharing of app interaction data and your Advertising ID with Google and its advertising partners.
We do not control the data collected by AdMob. For more information about how Google uses data from advertising, please review Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You may purchase the "Remove Ads" option within the App as a one-time in-app purchase. Once purchased, all banner advertisements will be permanently removed and AdMob will no longer be active in the App. This purchase is processed securely by Google Play Billing.
Baby Tracker requests only the permissions necessary to function:
INTERNET — Required to serve advertisements via Google AdMob.
BILLING — Required to process the Remove Ads in-app purchase via Google Play.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC — Required to keep the sleep timer running in the background.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Required (Android 13+) to display the sleep timer notification. You may deny this permission.
The App does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive device features beyond those listed above.
Baby Tracker is intended for use by parents and caregivers who are adults. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The data logged about babies within the App is entered by and stored locally for the parent or caregiver using the App.
Baby Tracker offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information. For questions about purchases, please refer to Google Play's policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
