I started by die-cutting a white panel using the outermost die from the Stitched Slimline Trio Dies. Next I sponged kitsch flamingo and picked raspberry distress oxide inks through the Cloudy Skies Stencil. Flick some inks and white paint to this panel.
Die-cut clouds using the Big Stitched Clouds Dies. Adhere the panel to a white cardbase. Adhere the clouds and the rainbow. Add some glue to the base of the clouds and sprinkle some chunky glitter to them.
I made this baby card for the parents of a new baby girl. I have been wanting to use the Wildly Happy Stamp set for a while. I just love the parent and baby images in this stamp set. And I thought the baby bunny was perfect for a little girl card. And although the stamp set has perfect sayings for a baby card, I used another stamp set, Round of Applause, as I wanted the greeting to be super tiny. You can see the stamp sets and the supplies list for this card at the end of this post.
There are no dies for this stamp set so after I coloured the image, I used my Paper Snips scissors to cut it out. It is was an easy image to cut out and I left a little bit of white space around the image. And I was planning on attaching it with dimensionals to the front of the white card so any imperfections in my rough cutting job really do not show.
The final thing I added to the card was the Elegant Faceted Gems. I love these gems and have easily used up a handful of packages. There are three colours in the package: clear, Petal Pink and a pearlescent white. The Petal Pink gems were a perfect match to my baby card colour scheme.
I often stamp sentiments onto my cards to compliment the images, but I love the idea of a card where the image speaks for itself. Here, I accomplished that by using specific colored ink with the stitched heart stamp and used the bow in different orientations to make the idea of a baby girl or baby boy card very clear.
I began the pink card by stamping the stitched heart stamp included in the Creativity Handmade set in two different tones of pink in a pattern across the card front. I was sure to stamp some off of the card stock to appear as if it were patterned paper. I used Circle dies to cut out a small circle from white card stock to place my heart die cut on. After stamping and die-cutting the bow, I colored it in using Copic Markers and placed it on the top right hand side of the heart to appear as a hair bow. To create a little contrast, I used the next size up from the Circle dies and cut out a piece of black card stock to use behind the main image. I used the same techniques for the blue card, only I used the bow as a bow tie at the bottom of the heart where it comes to a point.
