Joyfully Gathering Israel One by One in Christ
As individuals, families, and in your callings and ministering assignments, we (the Utah Area leaders) invite you to write your impressions to these questions:
How has the Savior gathered me closer to Him,
and how has that blessed my life?
Ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect.” (Doctrine and Covenants 29:7)
As I reflect upon this divine mission call from Jesus Christ, in what ways do I feel inspired to help Him gather Israel one by one?
Bluffdale 9th Ward Plan
2026
"My decision to follow Jesus Christ is the most important decision I have ever made. That decision has given me purpose and direction. It has also helped me weather the storms of life. Come Unto Christ and offer your whole soul to Him. This is the secret to a life of joy!" (excerpted from President Russell M. Nelson’s October 2024 General Conference address)
1. Focus on Christ through Temple Worship.
In a family council, talk about your next family or individual step on the covenant path and how to complete it during 2026
Invite family, friends and ward members to worship in the temple with you.
Share temple names with others when you have more than you can complete yourself.
Invite and encourage regular youth temple attendance and family history work.
2. Find Joy in Gospel Living through Participation in the Ward Family.
Take time to visit and get to know other members in the foyers and hallway before, in between and after church meetings.
Joyfully fulfill church callings and participate in ward events.
Post something you are grateful for on the “gratitude wall” at least twice during the year. Note: A space will be provided on the ward bulletin wall in the church where members can write and display things they’re grateful for.
3. Focus on Christ through Ministering and Missionary Work.
Invite friends and neighbors to participate in service opportunities.
Participate in missionary and ministering efforts during the year and invite family members to do the same.
Visit shut-in and elderly members without being assigned and invite your family to participate with you.
4. Focus on every family having an emergency preparedness plan.
Assemble or update your family’s 72-hour kit.
Put together a food storage plan, and put aside money in an emergency fund.
Attend the Stake’s emergency preparedness class.
In order to make this plan more than an idle block of text, we have been asked to make some family goals that align with this plan. Please review them below:
