Grammar: Question Formation
On Tuesday, we revised how to ask questions in English with an introductory game. If you need to keep working on this visit our Grammar Section.
After that, we finished the activity about Meet-Up groups. We made groups and each group created a different meet-up group using the information you had collected in the previous class with the survey.
You made a mini-presentation, following the guidelines on the left, and suggested a meet-up group to the rest of the class.
You'll find this activity on page 5 in your textbooks.
After that, we read two biographies of two celebrities who had to face challenges in their lives (pages 149 and 152). We used this reading exercise to talk about writing biographies.
I explained that 15th October is International Day of Rural Women and I find it is a good opportunity to celebrate female farmers. We live in an area where many families have traditionally relied on farming for their sustenance, so why not write about them?!
Do these activities and then, correct them using the solutions here.
If you are interested in learning more about the International Day of Rural Women, visit this UN website. Here you will find profiles on female farmers around the world and it will help you learn more vocabulary about farming and food.
