About Him
Dr. Buddhadev Nandi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, SR University, Warangal, since July 2026. He worked as an Assistant Professor (Ad Hoc) in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh from August 2025 to May 2026. His areas of expertise include experimental hydraulics, sediment transport, fluvial hydrodynamics, and computational hydraulics. He has published articles in many international journals and contributed to many international conferences. He has served as a reviewer for numerous international journals. He is currently seeking an Assistant Professor position to advance his work in water resources engineering, with a specific focus on computational hydrodynamics related to bridge element failure caused by both local and long-term general scour, accounting for seismic impacts and wave interactions under unidirectional and bidirectional flow conditions..
He was awarded the Research Fellowship under the DST-SERB (SURE Scheme) to work at the School of Water Resources Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. The project entitled, "In-situ Pollution Load Assessment of an Ungauged River using Integrated Water Quality and Hydraulic Modelling to Improve Restoration Strategies." focused on developing a comprehensive framework for assessing and mitigating pollution in ungauged river systems. By integrating hydraulic modeling, water, and sediment quality analysis, this research aims to enhance understanding of pollution dynamics and support the development of effective restoration strategies for sustainable water resources management.
