Ethereals wake up surrounded by alien Meadows after their home blips out of existance under their feet. While exploring, they encounter strange new monsters, including Spirit elementals, relics from an eons-old mistake.

Grumpyre, Petalaje, and Membrunn find a way past the Meadows' thorny barrier, and find themselves in a swampy Lagoon. Hidden within, allies old and new await. At the Lagoon's core, Petalaje recieves a warning.
