Salam!
I am Azri, an artist from Singapore. My work explores questions pertaining to our relationship with nature, particularly in the context of fast-paced living in this manicured urban garden.
My artistic practice is an engagement with nature. Like my hobbies, which include skygazing and scuba diving, this practice is a search for connection to a primordial heritage. In an age where “climate change” and “sustainability” have to be more than just buzzwords, I believe that it is well worth considering the place of nature in our personal lives: the source of our nourishment, the terrain of our commute, or even a measure of scale. The list goes on.
S27 is a space to consolidate and share the fruits of my wanderings and wonderings; a space to develop my practice and connect with others.
Hope you enjoy your time here, and may our endeavors always lead to goodness.
