Although in modern times, witches and wizards have been looked down upon as pagans doing the “devil’s” work, this could be true but in most cases it’s not what’s happening. However, with the introduction of modern religions and new faiths, witchcraft has been badmouthed, sidelined and attached directly to the “devil”. In some areas, witches were viciously and maliciously hunted and persecuted or even killed by those who saw them as a threat to the new faiths.
Although that was the case, the culture has persisted and knowledge has been passed on to new generations over time.
With all the negative publicity and hatred directed towards witchcraft practitioners, many have been led to question and doubt the existance of witches and the practice of witchcraft. However, research has shown that the practice of witchcraft is more fact than fiction. With many practitioners and users of witchcraft, it's rather hard to urge about whether witches are real or not. Due to the secretive nature of witchcraft practitioners, it has led to a void/gap which has been exploited by imposters and con artists, scam stars taking advantage of people and their desperation to find solutions to their challenges.
The short answer is yes, witchcraft is real and so are genuine witch doctors with real spiritual powers and extensive knowledge about natural medicine/herbs.
In some parts of the world today, the practice of witchcraft is being revived and slowly being recognized as form of worship or a way to find solutions.
