I was born and raised in Concord, California, and attended MDUSD schools from kindergarten through high school—graduating proudly from Concord High. It means a lot to now teach in the same district that raised me
I’ve been teaching high school English for over five years, working with students in grades 9 through 12. In my classroom, we read diverse texts, engage in meaningful discussions, think critically, and learn to express our ideas clearly.
While at CHS, I also created and piloted the Link Crew course for MDUSD, which is now an A-G approved class that builds leadership and school connection. The goal is to build community on our campus through helping 9th graders with their transition to High School.
Outside of the classroom, I love reading, crafting, thrifting, golfing for fun, spending time with friends and family, and—yes—cleaning and organizing just for the joy of it!
