I'm Azat Nurmukhametov, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. 

My research interests lie in Applied Microeconomics and Labor Economics, with a current primary focus on estimating the impact of industrial robotization on local labor market outcomes.

I'm passionate about teaching, and my ultimate goal is to be a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable educator. 

Beyond academia, I enjoy team sports (Go Hokies!), trivia games, and all types of tourism.
