Adriana watched the stage closely, sipping her drink and barely tasting it. She was watching the goddess who had just begun her performance, eyes locked on the way her hips moved and her hands teased her hair. I can see why they call you Venus. The entire club was entranced, when Adriana tore her eyes away long enough to scan the crowd. The two of them had circled each other for weeks… metaphorically speaking. The first time she’d laid eyes on Sienna – or Venus, as she was called when working – she knew she’d met someone special. Something about the way she carried herself as Venus, the sultry confidence, the way she bit the corner of her lip when she smiled, it was almost impossible to look anywhere else. It was an almost supernatural allure.
It had started with the side glances. Tiny smiles tugging at the corners of their mouths that had to be snuffed to remain professional. The briefest of greetings or farewells. But their jobs both kept them busy. Sienna with her entertaining, and Adriana with her security duties. It left her hungry for more, and it didn’t help that Sienna was almost impossible to reach during the off hours. Girl couldn’t possibly be that busy when she wasn’t performing, could she?
So that left the nuclear option. Watch her perform. Try to corner her backstage. Get some answers. Because there was something about her. Something about the way she moved. The way she smiled. The bubblegum pink eyes that looked too real to be contacts.
Adriana’s attention drifted back to the stage. Sienna was on all fours, crawling along the catwalk, eyes fixed on the patron waving a stack of bills in a futile attempt to fan himself as he leaned his elbows on the edge of the stage. When she reached him, she ran a hand through his hair, the other wrapping around his tie, pulling him just a little up and out of his seat as she teased him with a smile – before pushing him back into his seat and wagging a playful finger at him. No touching the stage. That’s the rule. Adriana couldn’t help but smirk. The music picked up. Sienna sat back on her knees, running a hand down her front, fingers teasing the thin chains hanging from her lace bustier that left just enough to the imagination. The crowd was whistling and cheering as she arched her back, then swung a leg out in front of her in a feat of flexibility as she used the momentum to spin around and stand once again. As Sienna moved, a waft of vanilla and jasmine reached Adriana’s nose, drifting around her like steam on a bathroom mirror, fogging her mind for just a second.
Adriana bit her lip, hard. She couldn’t tell if the thumping in her chest was the bass of the music or her own heart trying to bash its way out of her ribcage and onto the stage.
Sienna finished, the music stopped, and Adriana let out the breath she hadn’t known she was holding. Maybe that’s where the ringing in her ears came from. Why her face felt flushed. She rubbed her arms and felt the goosebumps despite the heat inside the club. The crowd whistled and cheered and applauded, some of them tossing cash and even a flower onto the stage. Sienna ignored all of it except the flower, picking it up and pinching the stem in her mouth as she winked and took a bow before spinning on her stilettos and walking like the supermodel she was to the back of the stage, disappearing into the curtains.
This meant Adriana had a few minutes to collect herself while Sienna changed into something slightly more comfortable – or at least slightly less revealing. It also gave her a few minutes to figure out exactly what she wanted to say.
***
Sienna had scouted him out while she’d been performing. The man was a repeat customer, and a repeat nuisance. The problem was that management kept letting it slide because he tipped well – very well. And he hadn’t exactly broken any rules. Just pushed them. None of the girls were ever hurt. Yet. But at some point, the money couldn’t be worth it.
Her off-stage outfit wasn’t much different from her stage costume, but at least the shoes were slightly more practical. She touched up her makeup, and after a moment’s consideration, applied a fresh coat of lipgloss. By the time she was ready, the next performance had started. That was good, it meant a slight distraction. Yet, when she entered the main area, several heads still turned towards her if only briefly. She made a point to not make eye contact with anyone, keeping her gaze fixed on her goal. No distractions. No sidetracking. She wove around the tables with practiced ease, dodging wandering hands that thought they were subtle.
A small ache in the pit of her stomach made focusing fully on her surroundings difficult, though. It had been almost a day since she’d last fed. Not intentional, of course. But she’d been busy. Another private event the previous night had taken up the entire evening and there hadn’t been a good opportunity to sneak a bite in. Plus, Adriana had been there again. Of course, she’d been working. They both were. But god, the way that woman had been eyeing her across the room. The intensity in her gaze. The way her eyes had flicked up and down so fast no one else had noticed except Sienna. The subtle way she’d bit her lip to hide the smile and keep the professional facade.
Much like the way she was looking at Sienna right now. In the club. Barely five feet from her. Like she’d appeared out of nowhere… or had Sienna been so distracted by her appetite and her target that she’d managed to completely miss the smell of fruity citrus and spice undercutting the alcohol and male lust pervading the space.
Sienna froze in her tracks. A slight smirk pulled at Adriana’s lips as she stepped in front of her. “Evening, love.”
It took a couple seconds for her mind to restart. “Oh, uh. Evening, Adriana. I – what brings you here tonight?”
“What else?” Adriana took a step forward, blocking her eyeline to the customer. “It’s so hard to pin you down when we’re working. Even harder when we’re not. But I’m off tonight and… it looks like you’re off now, too. Unless, of course, you’ve an appointment?”
“I…” She tried to shift slightly, catch a glimpse to see if the man was still there or not. Adriana seemed to notice she was distracted and took a step forward, shifting her own weight so her back arched slightly., brushing her hair off her shoulder. That dragged Sienna’s full attention back to her. She could see Adriana’s pulse in her neck. God, you smell good. The hunger was growing. She swallowed hard.
“Come on, it’s like you’re trying to avoid me. Didn’t you promise we’d have a chance to… get to know each other a bit better?”
“You know me already.”
“I know Venus.” Adriana shrugged, but that smirk wasn’t going anywhere. Sienna couldn’t look away from her lips. “I don’t know you. And I want to. So, while we’re both here, with nothing better to do, what say you?”
“I…” The excuses and deflections were dying before they even fully formed. Adriana’s scent was so strong. It was curling around her, caressing her, pulling her in. She’d taste so much better than that man. “I can spare a minute or two.”
“Lovely,” Adriana said. “Lead the way.”
Already, Sienna’s hand was reaching out to take hers. Adriana’s touch was warm. It felt nice. Too nice. And her appetite was winning. The spice and citrus was too strong. It was making her mouth water. Will your blood taste as good as you smell? “There might be a spare room.”
She didn’t even look at her intended target. Adriana was all that mattered. He could wait. And she’d waited long enough.
The back of the club had private rooms. Several were occupied. But there were some empty ones. Sienna headed to her usual room, as hers was usually for appointments only. It was at the end of the hall, nice and secluded, extra soundproofing.
Perfect for hunting.
She pulled Adriana inside and shut the door, flipping the latch only for the sake of ensuring no one would interrupt them – she didn’t want the lock to feel like she was trapping Adriana. But then again, she’d seen the woman at work. Those muscles weren’t for show. Definitely not. Just imagine them holding you down. Or lifting you up. She’s human but she could leave a mark. Maybe even a lasting mark. Sienna clenched her fists as her hunger grew, trying to stay calm. Her gums were tingling, fangs eager to get to work.
When she turned around, Adriana was already sitting on the bed, shoes and socks off, jacket stripped. The crop top left little to the imagination. Shoulders and biceps and abs were on full display, tattoo swirling down her left arm and highlighting the muscle. And that smirk played across her face as she leaned back. Sienna stopped breathing for several seconds and had to force herself to inhale again before the stillness in her chest looked wrong. She reached for the dimmer switch, knowing where it was through muscle memory, and the lights turned soft.
As she moved slowly towards Adriana, her hips were swaying to imaginary music. Her hands slid up her sides, her chest, up her neck and teasing her hair. It was a performance she’d done many times. One that left her clients so distracted and worked up they never even noticed when her playful bites became a little sharper, one that left them so exhausted and blissful they wouldn’t notice the blood loss and assume the dizziness came from… well, a different type of release.
Adriana scooted further back, hands coming up to meet Sienna’s hips as she put one knee onto the bed, then the other, straddling Adriana — who met Sienna’s gaze with clear, focused eyes.
“I meant what I said, love. I want to meet Sienna. Not Venus.”
“What… do you mean?” This wasn’t how her private dances usually went. They always wanted Venus.
“No mask. No costume. No performance. I already know who Venus is. I see you put on the mask and the name and she is gorgeous and confident and strong, but I’ve seen the way you chew your lip when no one’s looking. I’ve seen how you play with your hair when you’re nervous.” Adriana’s hands drifted higher, sliding behind her back, playing with the ties on her dress. God, she was so warm. “Dance like you want to. It’s just us in here. I don’t kiss and tell.”
Sienna didn’t move for a moment, studying Adriana’s face. There was an eagerness in her eyes. A different kind of thirst. And Sienna wanted to. She’d performed enough tonight. She could be herself. No more masks. Except for one. The one she couldn’t ever take off. Adriana could know everything about her except that.
So she started a new dance. Slow and gentle. It started with her hands around Adriana’s shoulders, sliding up the sides of her neck, cupping her cheeks. She kissed Adriana’s forehead, then her nose, then finally her lips. You taste exactly like I thought you would. She kissed Adriana deeply, savoring it, pinching Adriana’s lip between her teeth just enough to tease but not enough to hurt. Then she pushed Adriana down onto the bed and danced to the sound of her heartbeat. It was steady and strong, not too fast, the perfect tempo to move her hips and shoulders to. The whole time, Adriana’s hands didn’t leave Sienna’s body. They caressed her thighs, not trying to distract her or pull her closer, just touching her enough to leave trails of warmth as her fingers and nails traced imaginary shapes onto her skin. Sienna ran her hands through her hair, freeing it from the headband and pins that had held it perfectly in place, letting it grow fluffy and wild in a way her manager would never approve for the stage.
Then she leaned down and kissed Adriana’s throat. Her pulse beat beneath Sienna’s lips and the ache in her stomach grew and the familiar tingling ran through her gums. No. Not yet. Not her. Instead, she moved lower. She kissed the spot between Adriana’s breasts, just above her shirt, then below the hem, feeling Adriana’s abs under her lips and the way her muscles moved with each heavy breath. She’d just started to undo the zipper to Adriana’s pants when Adriana sat up, putting a hand under her chin to raise her head, too.
“Almost there, love. But I feel like you’re still holding out on me.”
“What do you mean by that?”
Adriana smiled. There was a knowing gleam in her eye, like she knew Sienna was hiding something. “You’re really going to make me work for it, aren’t you?”
Before Sienna could answer, Adriana’s hands finished fiddling with the ties holding her dress’s halter in place. The straps slid from her shoulders. Adriana pulled her dress further down, slowly, waiting for Sienna to stop her.
Venus would have. Sienna didn’t. Adriana took that as her cue to continue.
“You’re absolutely divine,” she said, taking in Sienna’s piercings when the dress was low enough to expose them. “How many clients get to see you?”
“Not many,” Sienna said, but it was hard to focus on what Adriana was saying when her hands were already back around Sienna’s waist, holding her in place, strong enough to pull her closer. Even sitting on Adriana’s lap, their faces were almost level. Adriana’s scent was filling the entire room. Sienna could smell the desire under her perfume and it was making her mouth water. She kept her lips pressed together because she felt the fangs pushing free. With their bodies pressed so close together it was like Adriana’s pulse was beating in her, too. Everything about her made Sienna feel alive again.
She hadn’t slipped up like this in a long time. But something about this woman was driving her instincts crazy. I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t want to scare you. I don’t want you to know.
But… would it be so bad if you knew me? The real me? Would you be scared?
Would you still want me?
As if she sensed something about Sienna’s sudden conflict, Adriana made her next move. Her lips teased the side of Sienna’s neck, a trail of soft kisses slowly moving lower. “You taste good. Don’t you want to taste me, too? Don’t you just want to sink your teeth in and take a bite?” Sienna shuddered, bit her lip, felt her teeth dig in. Adriana’s breath was warm against her skin as she kissed her way down past Sienna’s collarbone. “I could just eat you up. Won’t you do the same, love?”
God, I want to. When Adriana’s tongue teased around the piercing on her nipple, she bit down harder and felt a fang pierce her lip. Adriana’s hands slid further behind her hips, holding her close, lifting her slightly into Adriana’s lap. I want to taste all of you.
Like she knew what Sienna was thinking, Adriana kissed a trail back up her collarbone, her neck, her jaw, then turned her head to the side and wove her fingers through Sienna’s hair to pull her even closer until her mouth against Adriana’s neck once more.
The only thing between her fangs and Adriana’s blood was her lips.
And then there wasn’t.
Tiny sparks of pain flared across her back as Adriana’s nails dug in, but she didn’t try to push Sienna off. Her breathing grew heavier, faster, almost matching her pulse. And Sienna drank. She drank deeply, because Adriana tasted even better than she smelled. The citrus and spice wasn’t just a scent she wore. It was her. Did she know? Is that why she chose bergamot as her perfume? She tasted like life and lust and desire and, underneath it all, something sweet.
Warmth bloomed in her chest, settling behind her ribs and warming her heart. It was almost like she could feel it beating… or maybe it was Adriana’s life inside her, rousing something to the surface. She bit down harder and Adriana moaned, tensing against her.
It took everything in Sienna to pull back before she took too much. Blood trickled from the corner of her lip, a drop falling onto her chest. Adriana’s eyes fluttered open, smug satisfaction on her face. Did she… did she want me to…?
“Well, well, love. I guess I was right.”
“You — what are — how did —“ Sienna blinked. Hard. Tried to focus past the blood buzzing in her body.
Adriana brushed the trickle of blood from the corner of her mouth with a thumb, slowly, eyes fixed on the fang peeking from behind her lip. “You’re everything I thought you would be. And if you’re gonna drink from me, I’m gonna drink from you, too.”
She lifted Sienna slightly and twisted so Sienna was lying down and Adriana was on top, then she scooted down slightly, towards the foot of the bed. Adriana’s hands slid up her thighs, pulling them apart, pushing the hem of her dress up until it was up around her hips, slipping her underwear off and tossing it aside. Sienna’s thoughts were still reeling, trying to make sense of what to do or say. She… she’s not surprised? Or scared? She just… accepted it?
“You’re not surprised vampires exist?” Sienna finally managed to say, her voice breathless and barely audible.
Adriana paused, smiling at her. “I’ve met all kinds of people in my line of work. And I have questions. But that’s for later. Right now all that matters is you’re real, and you’re all mine for tonight.” Before Sienna could say anything else, Adriana lifted one of Sienna’s legs and settled it over her shoulder. “And it’s a good thing you’re such a flexible dancer.”
Then Adriana’s mouth was too busy to talk anymore. Sienna hadn’t needed air for a long time, but the sensation of Adriana’s tongue between her legs had her breathing harder and harder, back arching, one hand gripping the sheets so tight her nails dug through the fabric and into her palm, the other tangled in Adriana’s hair. The warmth from Adriana’s blood coursing through her was nothing compared to the rush of ecstasy that flooded her with Adriana’s touch and kiss and lick. Her back arched as Adriana pushed her leg higher, the hand not digging its nails into Sienna’s thigh sliding up her other leg until it was around her hip, thumb pressing into the divot just above her pelvis, and she let out a whimper that turned into an attempt at Adriana’s name, then another and another, each time falling short because her thoughts were entirely overtaken by how good it felt to have Adriana inside her in more ways than one.
She couldn’t take it anymore. She pushed herself up on her elbow, panting, fangs aching, and gently pulled Adriana’s hair to lift her face. Adriana’s cheeks were flushed, eyes gleaming with an intensity Sienna knew hers were matching, an edge of annoyance in Adriana’s brow at being interrupted. But Sienna was thirstier than Adriana. This time, there wasn’t any hesitation. She sank her fangs into the other side of Adriana’s neck, mirroring the first bite. She drank again, tasting the adrenaline and oxytocin and citrus, searching for the deeper sweetness that she knew was Adriana’s core.
Maybe if I try a different spot. She moved from Adriana’s neck to her chest, sliding Adriana’s top up and off, tossing it aside to join her own clothes on the floor. She kissed Adriana’s breast, teasing her just like Adriana had done, only being slightly more gentle when she bit down again. Adriana gasped, both hands coming up to grab Sienna’s hair but not pushing her away, if anything she was holding Sienna closer, nails scraping against her scalp. Still not right.
Adriana wasn’t strong enough to hold her down. Sienna lifted her head despite the resistance, licking her fangs, and pushed Adriana down onto the bed. Now it was her turn. She finally, finally, slid Adriana’s pants down and let them fall to the floor, then explored every inch of her legs, starting down at her ankles and moving up to her knees, then her thighs. Adriana wasn’t as flexible as her, but she made up for it in muscle. Feeling her tense and relax repeatedly beneath Sienna’s touch was exquisite, knowing the lightest brush of her fingers and lips was getting Adriana worked up. Then she found it. The femoral artery was there, just beneath the skin, each beat of Adriana’s heart calling to her like here, here, here, here. What else could she do but indulge?
The noise Adriana made was somewhere between a moan and a sign, contentment mixed with bliss and just a little pain. Sienna knew just what to do, controlling the flow of blood with how hard she bit down, using her tongue to keep it from leaking from the corners of her mouth. It was thick and rich and exactly what she’d been looking for. That sweetness she’d been tasting was there, under the citrus and spice, a deeper flavor that was her. The hidden aspect of her very being. Under the muscles and tattoo and tough exterior, she found the vulnerability that Adriana kept under lock and key. Sienna was seeing behind the mask, just as Adriana had seen behind hers. She barely had to try; the blood flowed into her like it was eager to ease her hunger, giving her life, warming her from the inside out even more. She could’ve drank Adriana dry… but no. That wasn’t right. She couldn’t do that. She wouldn’t.
She withdrew her fangs just enough to pierce her own tongue and draw blood, running it over the wounds and tasting Adriana’s mingle with her own, warm and cold, citrus and spice and different shades of sweet, waiting until the bleeding slowed and the wound started to heal enough to not be a problem. Adriana was panting, hands gripping the sheets so tight they’d pulled from the corners of the mattress, hair splayed around her head like a dark halo.
“Love, I don’t think anyone’s ever eaten me out that literally before,” Adriana managed between breaths.
“Did… did it hurt? Should I stop?”
“I just need… to catch my breath.” She propped herself up on her elbows, brushing aside a strand of hair from where it stuck to her face from sweat. Sienna sat up, too, suddenly conscious of the smear of blood across her chin, and did her best to wipe it away. A calm but somehow not awkward silence filled the room for a minute, only broken by their breathing and Adriana’s pounding heart. Sienna waited for Adriana to collect herself. It was a fragile moment, and the wrong word or move could shatter whatever this could become. As far as Adriana knew, she was trapped and completely vulnerable in a room with a vampire that could’ve easily drained her dry. But the energy was still there. It simmered in the air, almost tangible, tension and lust unaddressed and unfulfilled.
Finally, Adriana pulled herself up and looked down at herself, taking note of where each bite was on her body. She traced her fingers over the one on her thigh, then looked up at Sienna. She saw the way Adriana’s eyes lingered on her fangs, the way Adriana slowly bit her lip, and then the way she reached a decision when the start of a smirk returned to her lips.
Adriana reached for her. Hand out as an invitation. Waiting for Sienna to meet her halfway. Leap of faith moment.
Sienna took her hand.
Adriana gripped just tight enough to pull her in close, their lips meeting. Adriana’s tongue scraped against her fang and it was electric. “Tell me,” she breathed, barely breaking contact to get the words out.
“Tell you what?” Sienna asked. I’ll tell you anything. Everything. I want you to know me. Adriana tilted her head to kiss Sienna’s jaw, to play with her earring with her teeth, to brush her nose against Sienna’s cheek.
“What do I taste like?” Adriana’s voice was low, husky, breath hot against Sienna’s skin.
Everything I’ve ever wanted. Blood and bergamot and lust and love. “You taste like citrus. And spice. And everything nice.”
“And do I taste good?”
“You taste exquisite,” Sienna whispered. “Even better than you smell. Now, are you gonna keep talking, or are you gonna put that mouth to better use?”
That earned her another smirk. Adriana didn’t seem the least bit in pain from the bites, nor bothered by the thin trickles of blood running from each fang mark. It was incredibly sexy, the way she was covered in blood and wounds and smiling through it all like it was inconsequential.
Maybe it was.
The pain was perhaps the price – or the bonus – for knowing Sienna wanted her. And Adriana was listening because her tongue was back to exploring every inch of Sienna’s body, outside and in. Not just her tongue, too. She twirled Sienna around, pulling her into her lap, leaning in to kiss her while one hand played with her nipple piercing again and the other slid between her legs. They were breathing in tandem, following silent dance steps neither had rehearsed but each somehow knew. Sienna was so used to being the stronger one, even with her male clients, but in Adriana’s hands she was melting. She leaned into her, feeling Adriana’s toned body beneath hers, hard where Sienna was soft, full of warmth and life that she’d let Sienna taste and take in. Adriana’s fingers worked with practiced precision, and Sienna’s breathing grew heavier and faster as the tension and energy grew. It took every bit of control to not grip Adriana harder so she wouldn’t break. Then Adriana pushed just a little more and Sienna gasped, head tipping back until it was resting on Adriana’s shoulder as she went stiff, then everything relaxed all at once. Adriana’s other hand moved to cup her around the waist, holding her gently while her thoughts spun and her body tingled all over. When she smiled, she felt her fangs scrape against her lower lip, but there was no panic or urge to hide them or turn away. Adriana laughed, breathy and light, and Sienna was laughing, too, because it was her turn again.
Each kiss Sienna planted on Adriana left behind her mark. Her claim. Two tiny, inconsequential spots with each kiss that offered up everything that made Adriana who she was to the world and to her. She didn’t need to drink anymore, but she still wanted to taste. Adriana’s teeth might not have left the same kind of wounds, but by god did she try – even if the pinches and bruises only lasted a few minutes, it was like Adriana was doing her best to find some technique that would linger just a little longer.
Only when the intensity and strength behind Adriana’s grip started to wane from exertion did they slow down again to catch their breath. Everything smelled like Adriana, from the sheets to Sienna’s blood. It was better than anyone else she would’ve hunted tonight.
She curled into Adriana and let her head rest on her shoulder, hearing and feeling Ariana’s pulse under her skin, smelling the blood and sweat and endorphins on her skin.
Oh… right…
Adriana’s body was a constellation of fang marks, red freckles that almost matched Sienna’s in some places, like on her neck and her breast and her thigh. Little trickles of blood covered her, the bleeding mostly stemmed from her kisses, but still… it could make a mess, and enough tiny pains could become something bigger. And some marks couldn’t linger. A hickey could be excused, even bite marks, but fang marks were a little too risky. Sienna sat up, disentangling herself from Adriana, turning to get a better look at her handiwork.
“I can heal these,” Sienna murmured, letting her touch linger on one of the bites on the inside of Adriana’s thigh.
“How?”
“It’s… just a little more blood. A few drops on the bites. They’ll heal in seconds.” Sienna lifted a finger to her mouth, about to prick it on a fang to demonstrate. Adriana caught her hand before she could.
“I said I was going to drink from you, too, love. I meant that.” The smirk was just a smile now, softer at the edges. “You’re not going to hold out on me now, are you?”
“... you’re sure?”
“Absolutely. I want to taste you like you tasted me.”
Sienna smiled too, just a little, letting some of the worry and insecurity finally ease. Even now, Adriana wasn’t pushing her away. She slid her hand from Adriana’s, but only to press one of her nails into her chest, just above the curve of her breast, and cut a thin line across it. After a moment, blood rose to the surface, bright red from the life Adriana had given her. “You don’t need much.”
“Oh, Sienna.” Adriana brushed the hair from Sienna’s shoulder and leaned in. Her lips were warm against her skin, almost tickling her when they moved. “Can’t you tell by now? I’m greedy. I’ll take what I want.”
No one had ever drank from Sienna before. Not like this. It wasn’t like Adriana drinking from her would turn her. Not unless something… catastrophic happened in the next day or so, before Sienna’s blood left her system. But she’d always tried to be careful, to heal her bites with the tiniest bit of blood, pricking her lip or her tongue with a fang and licking the wounds until they absorbed her blood and faded. The sensation of Adriana’s mouth on her chest, drinking in her essence, taking back a tiny bit of what she’d taken in the first place… somehow, it was even more intimate than anything else. Was it because she finally had nothing left to hide? Her hands tangled in Adriana’s hair, gripping just tight enough to keep her close, not enough to pull or hurt.
And Adriana hadn’t been exaggerating. She was greedy. She kept drinking until the cut healed itself, and even then she kept her face buried in Sienna’s chest and ran her tongue over where the cut had been like she was searching for more. When she finally raised her head, a small smear of blood covered her lips and chin that she didn’t bother wiping away. Sienna leaned in and licked it up, tasting her own blood on Adriana’s lips. It was intoxicating. And it was delicious. She pulled back slightly, just enough to look Adriana in the eye.
Now, it was her turn to ask. “And what do I taste like to you?”
“Like blood and raspberry bubblegum.” Adriana leaned in for another kiss. “Don’t tell me. Bubblegum Bliss?”
“And how would you know that brand?”
“I’ve tasted enough lips to learn what I like. And I like raspberry bubblegum best.”
A flare of jealousy flooded her, hot like Adriana’s blood. And how many did you try? Her grip on Adriana’s hair tightened just a little. It was hard to keep the edge from her tone. “And will you need to keep looking? Or will I be the last lips you need to taste?”
“Love, you’re all I’ll ever need.”
“You know just what to say to make a girl blush,” Sienna giggled. But she was laughing to hide her relief and sudden desire. Adriana was hers now. All hers. No one else’s.
“Though… I wish you’d found a way to tell me sooner. Not that I minded finding out this way, of course. But I wish you’d felt close enough to tell me.”
Sienna blinked, surprised. It’s not like I didn’t want to. But… “Would you have believed me if I had?”
“Well, I would have asked for proof, of course.”
“Was this enough proof, then?”
Adriana smiled, reached up, and ran a finger over Sienna’s lip, pushing the corner up to expose her fangs again. “More than enough. And I’ll never get enough of you.”
That made heat creep up her cheeks, something she was only capable of because Adriana’s blood was running through her veins and warming her from the inside out. And of course, Adriana noticed immediately.
“Getting a vampire to blush is quite the compliment,” Adriana said. “And you look absolutely adorable with one.”
“All thanks to you.” Sienna planted a playful kiss on Adriana’s nose. “You also know how to make a girl feel alive again.”
“Is that so?” Adriana’s smile tightened for just a moment. Well… I guess that’s one of her questions answered. “And how long will that last?”
“I…” Oh. Sienna clocked the hidden question. Now it was her time to smirk. “You don’t have anywhere else to be tonight, do you?”
“Now who’s being greedy?” But Adriana laughed again, then pushed Sienna back onto the bed and ran her hands down her hips, pushing her thighs apart once more. “For you, love, I could go all night. But first… one more thing.”
“What?”
“I think I know why they all call you Venus.”
“... why’s that?”
“Because you’re out of this world, love.” And before Sienna could sputter out a response at how bad the joke was, Adriana’s kiss turned her words into moans. For tonight, no one else mattered. The world had shrunk to the room. To the bed. To the two of them. Adriana belonged to her. And she belonged to Adriana. Everything else faded until there was nothing left but bubblegum, blood, and bliss.
