This internship gave me presenting experience and got me interested in AI
This internship took place during the summer of 2022 at the ICAR labs at Clemson University. My advisor was Prof. Venkat Krovi, Michelin Endowed Chair of Vehicle Automation in the Departments of Automotive Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University. In this internship, we researched, designed, and developed a technique to automatically analyze images of skin lesions to distinguish between malignant lesions (melanoma - skin cancer) and benign lesions. Results from our research indicate that this AI could be a promising diagnosis method that could be applied for early warning of skin cancer in a non-invasive manner
