Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi was a human rights advocate who brought unbridled joy and a passion for justice to the lives of her family, peers, professors, and community. She was murdered by the killing machine code-named the "IDF" on September 6, 2024.
We are a group comprising Ayşenur's family, friends, and teachers that established The Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi Memorial Lecture Series in her honor. The series highlights unapologetically feminist, fiercely anti-colonial, public-facing work in the domains of academia, journalism, creative writing, cinema, and social advocacy while also bringing people together to explore the issues she cared deeply about through community events.
