Vote March 3, 2026
I am running for Wellesley School Committee because after 15 years of involvement with Wellesley Public Schools as a parent, I have the firsthand knowledge to center the experience of students and families. Let's make our schools more responsive for a changing world--responsive to students and families, responsive to data, and responsive to the world around us.
My Priorities:
Maximizing Resources for Student Achievement and Enrichment
Fostering Belonging and Connection
Closing Gaps Between What We Promise and What We Deliver
Continuously Evolving to Meet the Needs of Students and Families
About Me
I grew up in Framingham, a graduate of a strong public school, and went on to become an intellectual property attorney. My experience gave me a lasting appreciation for what strong public schools can provide—a foundation for lifelong learning, connection, and opportunity.
My husband and I have raised our two children in Wellesley since 2006. One is now in college, and the other is currently in 10th grade at WHS. Over fifteen years as a WPS parent, at Sprague, then WMS and WHS, I have been involved at every level, for example:
As a room parent and classroom volunteer.
Supporting Parents of Performing Students (POPS) and Science Olympiad
Participating in the Profile of a Graduate committee
As a baseball parent
Participating in critical WPS initiatives, such as the full day kindergarten policy and principal selection meetings
I have experienced firsthand the strengths of our schools, as well as the challenges and questions families and students navigate along the way. That personal experience will be the foundation of my service on the School Committee. I am also a member of the Wellesley Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force and a frequent volunteer with Family Promise Metrowest.
I studied electrical engineering at Princeton University and then attended Harvard Law School. My work as an intellectual property attorney requires careful analysis, cutting through complexity, clear communication, and follow-through—skills that are valuable to effective school governance. I believe the effort we put into our public school system reflects back to us many-fold, in invested families, a strong community, and youth who are prepared for and successful in the next phase of their lives.
