If you want an airplane-ready bedside charging and wake-up station, choose AYI 3in1; if you need lightweight open-ear headphones for airplane listening, choose TOZO OpenEarRing True Open. For the flight itself, TOZO is the relevant option; AYI is a bedroom station, not an audio product. My overall pick for airplane use is TOZO, while AYI makes more sense for simplifying a nightstand.
• AYI 3in1’s biggest strength: It combines a 15W wireless charging pad, a digital clock with dual alarms, and a touch-controlled, three-level night light in one tabletop device. Its trade-off is that it is a bedside station, not something to take on a flight for listening.
• TOZO OpenEarRing True Open’s biggest strength: Its clip-on, open-ear design and light weight are aimed at comfortable listening while keeping the ear uncovered. Its trade-off is that the provided specifications do not give battery life, charging speed, or noise cancellation details.
• Choose AYI if you want to organize your bedside charging, clock, and light around one device.
• Choose TOZO if you want wearable headphones for travel or workouts and prefer an open-ear design.
• These products solve different problems, so the comparison is less about choosing between two versions of the same thing and more about matching the product to the job. AYI is built for a nightstand: it can charge a compatible phone wirelessly, provide a dedicated earbuds charging spot, show the time, and add a low bedside light. TOZO is a pair of headphones, with a clip-on open-ear style and an IPX5 water-resistance claim.
• That distinction matters for airplane use. TOZO is the only one here that functions as headphones, making it the obvious fit if you are looking for wireless sports earbuds for airplane travel. AYI could help prepare a phone and earbuds before a trip, but it is not a portable listening device.
AYI 3in1: Who It's For
The 15W wireless charger is intended for a compatible phone, and a separate spot is provided for earbuds. The clock adds dual alarms, a snooze function, adjustable display brightness, and both 12- and 24-hour time formats. It also displays temperature. In everyday use, that combination could suit someone who wants a visible clock and a predictable charging place, or a household where two people need separate alarm schedules. The large display is described as easy to read from across the room, while the brightness adjustment gives you a way to make it less prominent at night.
The light is touch-controlled and has three brightness levels. That makes the station more useful for a bedside routine than a charger with only a status light: a dim setting can serve as a gentle guide, while a brighter setting can help with a quick task near the bed. AYI also lists overcharge, over-current, and short-circuit protection for charging. Its stated design uses a wood-grain finish, although the listed material information includes glass, plastic, and rubber, so I would not assume it is made from solid wood.
Who should skip it: Skip AYI if your main need is headphones, a compact travel charger, or a product for listening during a flight; its listed functions are for a tabletop bedside setup.
For someone searching for fast charging on ear headphones for airplane use, the category mismatch is worth spelling out: AYI’s 15W figure describes wireless phone charging, not headphone playback or headphone charging speed. The station may be useful at home before or after a trip, but it does not take the place of earbuds on the plane. The manufacturer lists USB connectivity and a five-volt input, which helps identify its power setup, but the supplied details do not specify an included travel case or a particular airline-travel configuration.

TOZO is the clear choice between these two for anyone who wants something to wear for audio. Its OpenEarRing design is clip-on and open-ear, which differs from a sealed earbud that sits inside the ear canal. The product information describes soft, skin-friendly silicone and a lightweight build intended to reduce pressure during longer wear. One listed single-earbud weight is 5.1 grams for the OpenEarRing; the same information also mentions a TOZO A1 earbud at 3.7 grams. Those are presented as two styles in the product listing, so I would not treat the A1 figure as the weight of the OpenEarRing itself.
That distinction is especially useful for shoppers comparing open-ear headphones for airplane use. TOZO’s design leaves the ear uncovered, which may appeal to people who prefer not to have a sealed fit. But open-ear construction is not the same as noise cancellation, and no noise-cancellation feature is listed. On an airplane, cabin noise is an important consideration. The data here do not establish how well these headphones block that sound, so I would not choose them on the expectation of a quiet, isolated listening experience.
The listing also describes IPX5 water resistance and a nano-coating, with sweat and rain as the kinds of exposure the design is meant to handle. That makes TOZO a plausible fit for workouts and outdoor activity as well as travel. Bluetooth 5.3 is specified, but the provided details do not state battery life, charging time, microphone performance, or a carrying-case setup. A 6mm speaker and bass-enhancement description appear with the A1 earbuds information; because the product title combines OpenEarRing and A1 styles, I would be cautious about assuming every A1 sound detail applies to the clip-on OpenEarRing.
Who should skip it: Skip TOZO if you want a bedside alarm clock, a wireless charging station, or a listed feature that actively blocks airplane cabin noise.
For an airplane traveler, TOZO’s advantages are about wearing style and portability rather than a promise of quiet. The clip-on form and low stated weight may suit someone who dislikes the sensation of a conventional in-ear fit. At the same time, the open-ear approach leaves a meaningful trade-off: it is not the choice I would make if the main goal is isolating music or podcasts from engine and cabin sounds. The specs also do not provide enough information to compare flight-long runtime or charging convenience.
• Best for listening on a flight → TOZO OpenEarRing True Open. It is the only product here that is headphones. AYI is a bedside clock, light, and charger.
• Best for a more open, clip-on fit → TOZO. Its design is described as open-ear, with skin-friendly silicone and a stated 5.1-gram weight per OpenEarRing earbud.
• Best for avoiding a sealed in-ear sensation → TOZO. The open-ear approach may suit listeners who prefer their ears uncovered, though it does not promise noise isolation.
• Best for keeping a nightstand organized → AYI 3in1. It combines a wireless phone charger, earbuds charging spot, digital clock, dual alarms, and touch night light.
• Best for two alarm schedules → AYI. Dual alarms can accommodate different routines without requiring two separate clock devices.
• Best for a bedside light with adjustable brightness → AYI. Its touch-controlled light has three levels, and the clock display brightness is adjustable too.
• Best for sweat- and rain-conscious workouts → TOZO. The product information specifies IPX5 water resistance; AYI is described as an indoor tabletop device.
• Best for a clearly stated phone charging figure → AYI. Its wireless charger is listed at 15W, while TOZO’s provided details do not specify headphone charging speed.
If your search is specifically for deep bass open ear headphones for airplane use, the product information is not detailed enough to make a confident sound-quality comparison. TOZO’s listing mentions bass enhancement and a 6mm speaker in connection with the A1 earbuds, but it does not supply a measured frequency response or establish that those details describe the OpenEarRing clip-on model. I would choose TOZO for its wearing style, not on a promise of a particular bass character.
Buying Considerations
First, decide whether your priority is the flight or the bedside. TOZO is the only candidate that can serve as headphones, but AYI is the more capable home-organization device. If you are hoping one item will cover both needs, neither does: TOZO does not provide an alarm clock or charging station, and AYI does not provide audio playback.
Also check the missing practical details before choosing. TOZO’s provided information does not state battery runtime, charging time, or call controls. AYI’s details do not establish whether its wireless charger will work with every phone or earbuds case, so compatibility is worth confirming for the devices you own. The 15W figure applies to compatible wireless phone charging, not necessarily to every device placed on the station.
Finally, consider the space and routine involved. AYI is a tabletop product with a listed 5.5-by-6.3-inch footprint and a 1.1-pound weight. TOZO is wearable and described as lightweight, but the product details here do not specify a case or travel-storage dimensions. Neither set of supplied details is enough to make claims about long-term durability beyond TOZO’s stated IPX5 resistance and AYI’s listed charging protections.
For airplane use, I would choose TOZO OpenEarRing True Open because it is the only one of these products designed for listening, and its clip-on open-ear style may suit travelers who dislike sealed earbuds. I would keep expectations realistic: the provided details do not promise noise cancellation or give battery-runtime figures. I’d choose AYI instead for a nightstand that needs a clock, dual alarms, wireless charging, and a dimmable light. My airplane recommendation is TOZO; my home-organization pick is AYI.
They are headphones, so they can serve for listening during a flight. Their open-ear design does not establish that they will block cabin noise, and the supplied details do not list noise cancellation or battery life.
No. AYI is a tabletop charging station with a 15W wireless phone charger and a dedicated earbuds charging spot. It is not a pair of headphones, and its 15W figure describes phone charging rather than headphone audio or flight use.
TOZO is the more relevant choice because its product details specify IPX5 water resistance and describe a lightweight clip-on design. AYI is described as an indoor tabletop station, not wearable equipment.
For TOZO, confirm that its open-ear fit and the available battery and charging information meet your needs, since those runtime details are not provided here. For AYI, check that your phone and earbuds are compatible with its charging setup and that you have suitable tabletop space.
