Alon Yoeli is the founder of Berkeley Supper Club, a community dining project in the East Bay that brings together chefs, artists, and food-obsessed neighbors around seasonal multi-course meals. Since launching in 2023, the supper club has grown from intimate home gatherings into large collaborative dinners featuring rotating venues, seasonal menus, and a network of volunteers and local partners.
Alongside his culinary work, Alon is a Senior Technical Product Owner in the clinical data field, where he leads product initiatives focused on data systems and analytics for medical research. His background in technology informs the way he builds communities — designing systems, storytelling platforms, and digital tools that support real-world gatherings around food.
Alon has trained in kitchens including Chez Panisse and The Cultured Pickle Shop and writes about food culture in the East Bay. Outside the kitchen he coaches water polo, serving as Head Varsity Coach at Berkeley High School and Development Coach at Contra Costa United, where he enjoys building teams and mentoring young athletes.
Through Berkeley Supper Club and related projects, Alon explores a simple idea: shared meals are one of the most powerful ways to build community.
