AXONEVO GmbH ("we," "our," or "us") operates the mobile application Axonevo (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you use our Service.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed through the Axonevo mobile app, related backend services, and support communications.
We collect the following categories of data:
Account and Profile Data
Name, salutation, email address, account identifiers, onboarding status, consent status.
Simulation and Learning Data
Simulation selections, questions entered in chat, generated responses, activity logs, evaluation results, progress/statistics, and related learning interactions.
Audio and Transcription Data
If you use voice input, we process your audio recordings and resulting transcriptions to provide speech-to-text and simulation functionality.
Technical and Usage Data
Device and app metadata, device identifiers, IP address, logs, crash and diagnostic data, screens viewed, and interaction events (for example, buttons tapped).
Support and Communication Data
Information you send to us in support requests or deletion requests.
We collect data:
Directly from you
When you register, edit profile data, enter simulation content, use voice input, or contact support.
Automatically
Through app usage, backend logs, analytics integrations, and device/app diagnostics.
From service infrastructure
From systems used to run the app (authentication, database, hosting, analytics, and AI-related processing pipelines).
We process personal data to:
Provide and operate the Service
Authentication, profile management, simulation delivery, scoring, and app functionality.
Deliver AI-based features
Generate simulation dialogue, process speech-to-text, and produce feedback/evaluation.
Maintain quality and security
Detect abuse, troubleshoot incidents, monitor reliability, and improve performance.
Analyze usage and improve product
Understand feature usage and improve learning experience and product decisions.
Comply with legal obligations
Meet legal, accounting, tax, and compliance requirements.

AI Data Use and Sharing
Axonevo includes AI-supported simulation features. Before AI-related processing is enabled, users are informed and can grant or deny consent in-app.
If enabled, the following may be processed and transmitted:
Chat input, conversation context, voice/audio for transcription, simulation activity context, and evaluation payloads.
AXONEVO backend infrastructure, selected Google Vertex AI and Supabase used to deliver these features.
User control
You may grant or withdraw consent in the app profile settings. If consent is denied/withdrawn, AI-dependent simulation functionality may be limited or unavailable.
We use service providers that process data on our behalf, for example:
Supabase
Authentication, database, and related backend services.
Google services (where configured)
Analytics and/or speech processing (for example, Google Vertex AI, Google Speech-to-Text).
Hosting/Infrastructure Axonevo and Supabase
Backend hosting and network delivery providers required to operate the Service.
We require processors to protect personal data with contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards that are equivalent or substantially similar to our own protections and applicable legal requirements.
International Transfers
Your data may be processed in Switzerland and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (for example, contractual safeguards and legally recognized transfer mechanisms).
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, and compliance requirements.
Typical retention approach:
Account/Profile data
Retained while account is active; deleted or anonymized after account deletion, subject to legal obligations.
Simulation and activity data
Retained to provide learning history, statistics, and quality improvements, unless deleted earlier by request where applicable.
Audio/transcription and logs
Retained for operational purposes for a limited period, then deleted or anonymized, unless required for security/legal reasons.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

Restrict or object to certain processing
Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing)

Account deletion requests can also be submitted via the app support/contact channel. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we continuously work to improve protections.
The Service is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction. If we learn we collected data from a child without valid legal basis, we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in-app and/or through our website and update the “Last Updated” date.
