If it is in our fleet, you can fly it! However, if you crash an aircraft you will be required to complete an aircraft checkride to ensure competency before you can fly that aircraft again.
A lot of virtual airlines have a minimum activity requirement. Here at Axiom Air, we are no different. We only ask you fly one flight per month - that's it! We also accept Leave of Absences if you believe you will not be able to make the activity requirement for whatever reason. We want you to enjoy your time with Axiom but we also don't want a ton of non-active pilots on our books.
We recommend using Simbrief for all of your flight planning. You can access SimBrief through NewSky as well! As the pilot in command of your aircraft, we give you great leeway in how to get to the destination as long as it is in a safe and efficient manner. If you don't use fuel at the end of your flight, that fuel will be used for the next flight. Don't worry about fuel costs!
No, we do not require checkouts or check rides to fly aircraft but we strongly encourage you to know the aircraft before flying it. There are penalties to crashing aircraft (outside of Simulator craziness).
