Axial Wisdom ("we", "our", or "us") provides a mobile application designed for personal growth through quotes and AI-driven insights. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards information.
1. Information Collection and Usage
Axial Wisdom operates primarily as an offline-first and local-storage application. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not store your personal data on our servers.
a. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Favorite Quotes: Quotes you save are stored in a private database on your device (Room Database). This data never leaves your phone unless you manually export it.
Offline Wisdom Database: The app contains a pre-loaded or imported database of quotes to function without internet access. This data is stored locally.
Preferences: Settings such as your chosen Theme (Background) and Audio preferences are stored locally.
b. Data Processed for Features (Transient)
AI Meaning: When you request an AI interpretation of a quote, the text of the quote is sent to our AI providers (Groq/Gemini) to generate the insight. This data is not linked to your personal identity.
Weather Greeting: To provide the "Good Morning/Evening" greeting and weather context, the app fetches approximate location data (City level) based on your IP address via Open-Meteo. We do not request GPS permissions and do not track your precise location.
2. Third-Party Services and Ads
We use trusted third-party services to support the application's functionality and monetization (Ads). These services may collect standardized usage data (metadata) governed by their own privacy policies.
Google AdMob: Used to display Banner and Interstitial advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers (Advertising ID) to serve personalized ads.
Google Firebase: Used for app stability (Crashlytics) and remote configuration.
ZenQuotes API: Used as a source for daily quotes.
3. Data Security
Encryption: All communication between the app and external services (AI, Weather APIs) is encrypted via HTTPS (SSL/TLS).
No Personal Data Storage: Since we do not have a user login system, we do not store names, emails, or phone numbers.
4. Children's Privacy
Axial Wisdom is designed for a general audience (13+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Clear Data: You can delete all locally stored favorites and settings by clearing the App Data in your Android Settings.
Offline Usage: You can use the app in "Airplane Mode" to access the offline quote database without ads or data transmission (AI features will be disabled).
Ad Customization: You can manage ad personalization settings via your Android Device Settings (Google > Ads).
