From a stretch of grey and unyielding stone created by long cooled lava, New Home was built as a new and hopefully temporary home for the growing population of the monsters. The expansive city once housed well over 2/3rds of the population, and is separated into three sectors, crowned by the Royal Palace.
The lower sector held the common populace of monsters, many small but comfortable housing units crammed into almost every available space. Small markets and shops were present among the homes, but most supplies and entertainment had to be obtained in other, less congested areas of the kingdom. The close spaces and sheer amount of hiding places made this sector ideal for the constant feasting that has broken out in the enormous city, and has transformed the lower section of the city into a bloodbathed warzone.
The homes here are much larger, housing monsterkind’s less common and boss leveled subspecies, and are much further spread apart, giving the upper sector an air of luxury. Their proximity to the palace, and the taint of the Glitch, makes the large homes unsuitable to settle in, however, and thus has left them standing empty, once the common monsters overran them and dragged the higher leveled monsters within out to join the feast.
The once mighty home of the royal family, overlooking the entire city from its place atop a sloped hill. Built straight into and from the side of the mountain, and remarkably humble for a palace, though anyone that knew the royal Boss monsters wouldn’t expect any less. After Flowey’s rampage, and the dereliction of its abandonment, the palace is a husk of even its humble glory, given a wide berth despite the potential it holds for salvageable resources. Anything that the presence of the Glitch within doesn’t drive away, the enormous vines surely do.
Once a place of judgment for the wayward soul, all that remains of this hall is broken glass, shattered columns, and vines the size of school busses, slowly but surely attempting to tear it down completely.
Soon to be added.
The throne room, and Asgore’s personal garden, has seen better days. All of the once so carefully tended blooms have died, and the statue erected of the peaceful ruler has been torn asunder on its plinth by the encroaching vines.
The only remaining and accessible exit to the Underground, the erstwhile resting place of the human souls taken in err, and the location of the Glitch.
