Dr. Songhee Kang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration of the Tech University of Korea. She previously served as a research fellow and lecturer at Seoul National University, a visiting professor at Kyung Hee University, and a senior research fellow at the Software Policy & Research Institute (SPRi), a government think tank under the Ministry of Science and ICT, for 8 years. She also brings more than seven years of industry research experience from roles at Oracle, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai Motor Company.
Dr. Kang studies AI-based decision systems at the intersection of technology and society. Her overarching research question asks how digital technologies and algorithms reshape individuals’ risk perception and behavioral responses. Using data science and computational methods, she investigates the social risks and governance challenges emerging from AI transformation and from climate- and energy-transition systems.
